Running in a loving, fun and happy place too is a complete difference. Greyhounds are an extremely sensitive type of dog and race tracks are a horrific place for them. Please never go to a dog racetrack. It’s nothing but animal cruelty where they get injured like horses do a lot in the starting gates, or trip and fall when running within the pack, or get pushed too hard and injure soft tissue or bones or their brains (most racing greyhounds become extremely reactive), and never get the proper quality care, love or attention a family pet gets/should get. They’re domestic pets that should be treated and protected like any family member with a lot of special daily requirements that should involve running free at the beach, or in a field, or huge back yard, or a long safe trail, etc. I love how this couple gave this beautiful pup such a happy, healthy and loving environment. The fact they moved their home to a boat that gave him a lot of access to beaches was such a smart move. How happy is it just to watch him love his beach life. They know how to live. Interesting how dogs teach us happiness and joy so easily when we know how to treat them first. ❤

@@Confidentk9sCa I used to have three rescued greyhounds. They need exercise like all dogs. But they are more than happy with walks and a garden (back yard) to play in. Space to properly run is great, but not a fundamental need. They are so fast they can get injured - imagine one of those legs dropping into a rabbit hole.

I've got a 14 year 7 month old brindle Irish ex racer called King. We adopted him at 5 1/2 and we have enjoyed over 8 1/2 years with him. I used to be terrified of dogs but King has been a real life changer and a brilliant addition to our family. He is the spitting of image of Milo and is a joy to be around. His eyes are cloudy now, he messes the house and has weak rear legs but on a walk he is so happy. Love all sighthounds, but I have a particular fondness for greyhounds.

Greyhound or whatever breed, take one look into that dog's eyes, he's _(now)_ loving life fully. He is one happy camper. Ps. I'm 70 years old, and I've had dogs & cats all my life, and of all kinds of breeds, in all different health conditions. Only once a puppy _(I was 12),_ all the rest were rescues. I take them for what & who they are, and make the best of it. They all have that right. I could care less what breed they are. They are first and foremost an individual. While I've never had a greyhound, I think iggys _( Italian greys)_ are pretty cool. _(Just at my age, I'm the wrong human for them.)_ The dog I have right now is also a rescue. I've had her now for 6 years. And, we are both of the age that we are growing old together... and that 24/7, 365 days a year. I might not be the best human for her. But, I treat her the way I would want to be treated... that includes cooking her fresh meals everyday, just the way she likes them.

I once saw a greyhound running around at an empty beach. My jaw literally was dropped the whole time watching him run. You have NO IDEA how FAST these dogs are until they run past you at full speed. You cannot watch this or see this from a distance and get the same effect. It was the literal definition of awesome.

When I was a kid, there were these local Greyhound walks. Maybe thirty dogs and owners all meet up in a park, all walk the dogs on leash, let them say hi and have a little social time together... its as much for the humans as it is for dogs. I remember walking with a friends dogs, coming up a hill to flat ground, and when we got to the top, their owner was waiting for us about 200 metres away. She called my phone, told me to take the leads off (harnesses on, just leads off) and tell them to find mum. I did. I blinked and they were gone halfway down the field. They are insanely fast. It took them all of five seconds to cover the field.
