Keep up the great content and work! Just curious, what do their diet/meals/food consist of? And do they ever go through periods where they "skip" meals?

From the husky we have, the fosters we have had, and the research over done outside, it isn't really abnormal. Our husky Yuki regularly will skip or partially eat a meal, usually if the foster doesn't swipe it when we aren't looking, she will eventually come back for it, however sometimes she will end up with a build up of food from days prior she didn't finish. So when it gets to about half her daily portion, we generally add just an extra half to make it a full portion and reset the cycle. It seems like most huskies either are picky eaters or they eat everything they find, even if it isn't necessarily edible.

My Husky is always skipping meals. Her Vet says she is healthy and when she gets hungry she will eat. She is also a very picky eater. I have to make her chicken and veggies daily. She refuses kibble of any kind, she doesn’t like beef, turkey, duck, nothing of the sort. Chicken only. She also will not eat unless her meals are very warm. Pickiest pup I ever seen or had. But it doesn’t matter to me, I love her just the same. If that’s what it takes to keep her happy then so be it ❤🐾

@@jolenebauser408 Fish is extremely good for their coats, if you they have issues with excessive scratching and grooming it might be worth looking into. Salmon, Cod, and Whitefish. Just nothing with a high toxicity count like tuna. This goes for practically any northern breed as well as mixes with northern breed like our mutty boy. When we got our first husky from a foster, the foster said she would only eat wet food, so after working with her doing a mix of kibble and wet lowering the wet food portions daily I managed to get her to finally settle on the kibble. Had to put the wet in the bottom of the bowl and scoop the kibble on top while she ate so she had to eat through it to get the treat for a while though. Finally she got accustomed to it, and now they get toppers as a supplement on a regular. Nothing wrong with spoiling them a little if you can afford to do so. She also was a picky in the way of not eating full portions, having a treat at the bottom of the bowl encouraged her to eat more, she was underweight by around 5 to 8 pounds when we got her.

And how many hours a day do they need to be active? I absolutely thought that Brittany Spears was going to win just based on the fact that most male dogs are stronger and faster than a female just like people, & by the way I am a female & have a female almost 5yr old Australian Shepherd but her brother (my sister in laws dog) is faster and bigger/stronger❤
