Reviewing the Friday night Alltech video can be very informative to all super late model drivers who want to get to the level of the top drivers. For example, the 10 car lost at least 3 positions on restarts in turns 1 & 2. On short tracks with a high and low groove option, to successfully run the high line, corner entry speed needs to be higher than is possible entering on the low side. Alltech on Friday in the last half had a top line 10 feet faster than the bottom - except on a slow speed turn 4 green flag restart - the bottom lane in turn 1 & 2 is 50' faster for just that lap. Whenever possible the low lane needs to be blocked by choosing the low lane entry (when possible) otherwise the low lane cars that prior to the caution could not advance, can get under the high side car and gain enough feet to win the position entering turn 3. Want proof - rewatch the race and specifically watch the restarts where the 10 Car advanced positions and watch the restarts where the 10 car lost positions. Protecting the bottom on turn 1 restarts applies on tracks where the two lanes are close, and theres enough traction, track length and end of straightaway speed to make the top lane viable after a restart. In fact, early in the race with a high speed, high side exit, (resulting in maximum end of straightaway speed) the 10 car entered high and beat the low lane cars out of turn 2. Dont take my analysis- watch the race again & analyze the restarts yourself to understand how the 10 car lost a top 3 finish. Lessens can be learned.

Guys you need to hire a crew chief. I’ve been watching for years and love what you’re doing. I never complain or write negative things. You need a crew chief, Joseph runs good and looks like he belongs when you guys hit the setup or should I say when the track comes to you. And then you have nights like Saturday night. Please hire an experienced crew chief and let’s see what that boy can do on a consistent basis. Just my thoughts
