This is my childhood. It took me a while to pin point exactly which F1 game I had on the PS1, but as soon as I saw this I knew it was this one. It's Michael Schumacher! =)

This game was so awesome back then and still is! Still a lot of fun to play. And the soundtrack is great too.

I remember leading on the Australian GP , qualifying, full race, full damage, the whole bit. I was on the last lap ,when the AI decided to break my car. Brutal. That was the first and last time I tried that.

1997 is my favroite F1 season of all time. Especially with the epic Jordan with snake design and with Fisichella. :D What I found funny is the engine sound of the F1 cars sound's like 'rc cars' in this game. But in the predecessor 'Formula 1 aka. F1 '95' the F1 cars sound much more like the real F1 V10 engine sound. Don't know why developers messed this in this game up, cause it sound not bad in Formula 1 95.

Tuve este juego en su momento y me encantó. Los interminables comentarios en castellano son increíbles. Suenan muy profesionales y otorgan una atmósfera muy realista. Ahora bien, me gustaría destacar, muy por encima de otros parámetros, el siguiente detalle de calidad: el trabajado cambio climatológico que presenta este sensacional simulador de Formula1. Cambios suaves y realistas que afectan directamente en la conducción de nuestro bólido. Un prodigio de los 90's que no gozó del debido reconocimiento en su momento. Saludos desde España 🇪🇦🇪🇺

The best bit is that they cannot use Jacque Villeneuve for some reason and thus only mention him as "The Canadian" xD

@@RacingGameArchive From what I was told by someone on here, it was because Jacques had a exclusivity deal with Accolade and Grand Prix 3 (similar to Colin McRae and Codemasters), and that was why Psygnosis could not use his name or likeness in this game.

SHIVERS.... S H I V E R S GOING ALL OVER MY SKULL LOOKING AT THIS! I was 8 years old when this game came out and when I played it for the first time! As a Québécois, you can imagine that I was always playing as Jacques Villeneuve! Well... Not exactly... You know... The Driver that has no picture in the game... Always playing from the cockpit view, that realism! My game was in french and the translation was actually pretty good!

I was so sad when my house got robbed in 98, lost ps1 along with this legendary game. Couldn’t find it to buy again.😢 Maybe I should have tried the pawn shop.😅
