Did Sage Steele watched the other close-up slow-motion footage where you can clearly see that after the initial block attempt stroke, Dijonai then made ANOTHER HEAVY STROKE while suddenly pointing all of her fingers stiking towards the face of Clark? I don't know how anyone can say with certainty that it wasn't on purpose. The video and Carringtons history say otherwise.

Anyone that has followed the league this year knows the racism isn't coming from where they say it is. I live in Iowa. I know how Caitlin handles these things. She always downplays EVERYTHING. She most certainly saw the taunt from Angel Reese, she knows the eye poke was on purpose too. She's close with Carrington's girlfriend (her teammate NaLyssa Smith) so she's not rocking the boat. Look at it again. The ball wasn't even there anymore when she gouged her. How was she making a play on it? It was on it's way down the other end of the court.

I will address the claims by WNBA players and some ESPN commentators suggesting that Caitlin Clark's is inciting racism in the league by way of her fan's. In fact racial or hatred comments are coming from people like Elle Duncan, Dijonia Carrington, Angel Reece, Sheryl Swoopes A'ja Wilson! I concur that no one should be subjected to or make racial remarks towards players or anyone else. However, there is a distinction between threatening remarks and critical comments. Regarding the WNBA players singling out Caitlin Clark's fan base without evidence, they could be trolls from other WNBA teams for all we know. As a Caitlin Clark fan who is white, I take offense to the accusation from WNBA players that Caitlin Clark's fans are racist, especially considering how CC and some of her fans have been treated by opposing team players, coaches, and an WNBA legend itself.
