Racism extends beyond North Idaho. It's prevalent in our communities too

Recent encounters in both Coeur d'Alene and the Treasure Valley highlight that racism remains an issue in the Gem State.

Boise, Blackfoot, Twin, Blackfoot, Mt Home, Island Park, Pocatello, McCall it has always been like this. Look who their legislators are?! This is who Idaho is, believe it.

Racism is sin. Sin comes from the heart. Racism is no bigger or smaller than any other sin. We will all be held to account by God for our sins. Lying, gossip, fornication, adultery, lust, and every other sin is the same before God. How about we have a KTVB video on lying? My point is let’s not single out sins as if there is any greater than another. Turn away from sin, and turn to Christ for the forgiveness of sins. In him there is reconciliation! Jn 3:16.

I worked at Dolly's Cafe in Spokane and the manager Gabriel Montelongo was so openly racist to me right in front of customers that even they ended up making racist comments to me. I'm not even a person of color, I'm light skinned with green eyes, I just happened to be born in a foreign country. Racism is just as bad here in Spokane lol.

Are you white republican male? If so, you probably fit right in. Brown dude from MN here, visited the Sawtooths last summer and me my GF got some of the dirtiest looks from three white dudes. I'm sure it's worse for other people

@@eevew223 I've heard stories from other people too and Idaho has been has a known history with white supremacy groups. Top ten states with the most hate groups per capita. I wouldn't go far as calling the entire state racist but it certainly isn't the most welcoming place, especially if you don't fall in the white male category.

Boo boo, yes, racism is terrible but we can’t just freak out about it, it’s everywhere whether we like it or not, let’s not make it the definition of this state.
