I am a Dutch gay. My ancestors lived here for at least 2,000 years. However, immigrants from Muslim countries are not happy that I am gay and I have been robbed, attacked and threatened with death by them. The government is afraid to do anything about it. That would hurt the feelings of Muslim immigrants and tarnish the progressive image of the Dutch government. So as a white gay I feel racism isn't the issue. It is about hypocracy.

Hi! What you wrote is exactly the reason why we made this video. When we found this study, we thought it was interesting on the one hand, but limiting on the other, because it only interviews people of African origin (and not other foreigners) and also because it does not take into account the opinion of the locals. In fact, this last point is a limitation that we see in many European studies: they interview minorities, but not the majority. We analyze a lot of studies, and I assure you that it is really difficult to find studies of this type that also interview the locals. This is precisely why we made this video, to hear the opinions and experiences of everyone. Have a nice day!

Most dangerous tape of Racism for me as an African is, when someone wants to kill me because of my skin colour in that case, most dangerous Countries to live for me in Europe are, no 1. UK. No 2. Germany. People of those two Countries are known to kill Black People through fire while they are in sleep in midnight! No go countries!

@AmazingEuropeChannel It's a terrible analysis and should be taken down. Will do nothing but cause hate and divide or maybe that's your real reason? Has stated here it's a completely biased and inaccurate poll because the Countries named have an extremely high mixed Cultured population and again why don't you show figures from countries in Africa itself the Middle East or Eastern Asia. Personally I found the most racist country in Europe to be Russia. ... And they are quite open about it too.

The sad part is although many ethnic minorities have lived in Europe for generations, are fluent in the native tongue and have made positive impacts in their communities, but are still considered immigrants decades later, which is stupid. They are citizens. But still denied access into better neighborhoods or high income careers in government and other areas.

Wtf Germany that high😮 I am from Serbia though I am not African, being and living in Germany, Munchen for almost 7 months. Working in Maan factory. For all time I spent there single inconvenience haven't had there, nor I heard some stories as well. Ofc no it's not enough time but still. All praises I have for that city and people there. But that is my experience. Beautiful city. As for France or Belgium I know there are high rates towards racism but let's be real.. why nobody talks what other ethnicities doing there? And I especially target Africans and Arabs. I don't have nothing against any ethnicitiy nor religion but cmon there people are not even safe to walk at the streets at a lot of parts in the countrie at night. There are high rates of criminal in parts where are especially Arabs have settled. I think it is possible to various ethnicities coexist in the same area, but we all need to put more effort to create better enviroment for everybody, including white people but also other ethnicities too.

@@AmazingEuropeChannelwhat minorities have to say has a value of its own independent of what the majority/natives have to say. To compare the minorities' replies and feelings to the majority'risks getting the issue of racism into dangerous polemics where each side is feeling let down.

Portugal, Poland, Sweden, Spain, France, Italy, Ireland, Luxembourg, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Germany & Austria And a question, why is this survey only based on Africans? Why not Indians, Chinese and Viets as well? That would give a more in-depth analysis

Many people go to some 'promised land' (not only EU) with unrealistic expectations. When it doesn't work, it is easy to blame it on racism. I've seen many people of from different places that succeed. Usually the ones who plan and research upfront and have something to offer.

It's difficult to see a consistent pattern in this statistical study, although Countries with a history of colonization seem to be better equipped to manage racism... The study is not easy to interpret and trends are lost in a maze of statistics that contradict each other. 🤕 And how many people were interviewed for each country? I guess in Finland the samples were smaller than say for France?

Hi! Thank you for sharing your valuable perspective! 😊 Your concerns are valid (in fact, we've asked ourselves the same questions). There is obviously much more information in the study than we could fit into the video. However, we want to clarify that we also had our doubts when we read this study. For example, we would have liked to see interviews with people of other ethnicities besides African origin, or for the voices of local people to be included as well. Have a great day!

One easy rule, how more you go to the north and/or east, how more you have a possible encounter with racism. And there is a difference with people racism and state racism.

Which “Africans”? Why is there no emphasis on the main countries who are rapidly moving to europe. When you talk about Chinese immigrants, you dont just say “Asians” to lump them all together so people assume they all complain about the same experiences even though they live in completely different countries. In the US for example we see it is specific people from specific countries flooding in from not only Africa but central america and asia. They have a specific goal and use racism as a tool. This tool is used by many who coincidentally do not actually experience it historically in their homogeneous home countries.

Decide, people. Ireland is racist or friendly? It's in both lists!!! I particullarly think the extremely friendly reputation is a myth, but they are ok, regarding european patterns.

Hi! Your observation is very well-made! First of all, we want to emphasize that presenting these studies on our channel does not imply our agreement with them. We did so precisely to gather your opinions. You might have seen the information about the welcoming nature of Irish people in another video of ours, where we sourced the ranking from InterNations. To conduct this study, InterNations surveyed over 12,000 immigrants. It would be highly intriguing to know the origins of the immigrants who voted for Ireland. Perhaps this could help us understand, at least partially, why Ireland appears in these two rankings. Have a great day! 😊

Very useless list - it doesn't say for example what percentages of immigrants compared to the existing population and the rate of immigration and many other crucial factors. If no many immigrants go to Portugal compared to other countries of course there would be less resistance than for example in Italy were the rate of immigration has been greater than elsewhere in Europe in the last decades. One thing is only one immigrant arrives in your road - another when you find out 5 or 6 new families who don't speak your language next door.

Hi! Thank you for sharing your valuable perspective! 😊 You've just mentioned one of the reasons why we made this video! When we came across this study, we found it interesting, but also quite limited. For example, it only interviewed people of African descent (and not other immigrants) and it doesn't consider the perspective of the local population. In fact, this lack of local voices is a limitation we see in many European studies: they focus on minorities, but not the majority. We analyze a lot of research, and trust us when we say it's really difficult to find studies like this that interview locals as well. That's precisely why we made this video - to hear the opinions and experiences of everyone. Have a nice day!
