I have Swiss family & normally we would be sat around the table with the reclette in the middle of the table & I’ve never seen meat & fish on the same platter - strange.

What horrified me was that they handled the raw fish first, and then apparently handled all the other foods. They were wearing gloves but no sign of changing them or washing them, and then they handled everything else, including some things that wouldn't likely be cooked afterwards.

Thats Frenche style.. In Swiss we dont eat fish with raclette... Normaly is : Raclette Chesse Pickels Potatos ore bred Thats it.. The Chesse is the Star from the dish ✌️🇨🇭

Everybody has its own way to cook and it’s totally okay if they are good and that’s their way to eat raclette. Personally it gives me so much inspiration, especially for the salmon ❤ I will add it when I make raclette next time

Swiss Raclette = no Fish !! 🇨🇭 You have no enough fish in the Mountains to eat for everybody.. but a lot from cows 😉 We have snow and cold.. Its a raw winter dish.. Ore a Festival food ( no fish )
