What do you guys think of the New Miami Open? When I went last weekend it wasn’t fully complete but I kinda like it!

Good job and great positive attitude about the new Miami Open. I am a fan and three-time ball kid from the days of the Lipton so Crandon Park is my Soul and I admit - I was a little taken back when I heard about the change but it looks AWESOME in your video. It looks so spacious and the ambiance is going to set the tone for the tournament. Those seats! Ay carambu. Nice. I remember the plank seating at the Grandstand in Crandon Park and the Grandstand was the place to be - some of the best matches with James Blake, Tsonga and many more. Such great memories! I moved from South Florida to out west near Arizona and love it so I would be a hypocrite if I said, CHANGE isn't good. All the best man! Great video again!

Yo Mathew! Great video! As a balllboy, I've had some sneak peaks into some parts of the venue. Honestly, it is an amazing place that I would highly recommend checking out! I can't wait to see you at the event! Which days do you plan on attending?

Very informative video really appreciate it. I have a buddy competing in the USTA nationals 18+ tournament in Naples that coincides with the 2nd weekend of the Miami Open. I wonder if it's not too far of a drive from Miami to Naples for a day trip. Would be my first visit to Florida. Thanks again!
@RacquetComedy5 жыл бұрын
It’s a drive but it’s possible probably 2 1/2 hrs between but I think if you can it will be worth it! Also thanks for watching! 🙏

I love the old venue, it was so special and I’m glad I got to go to it, but this looks cool and I know why they made the move so I think it’ll be great! I plan on going for a couple days. I’m wondering if I should Uber or rent a car? Just a quick trio but I ll need to find a place to stay. May rent a car so I can go to the beach. Looking forward to it, any tips and info is appreciated
@RacquetComedy5 жыл бұрын
I think renting a car might be a better choice because you won’t have to wait around every time you want to go somewhere. It my even save you some money and time!

@@RacquetComedy Looking forward to your future interviews then! Your Orange Bowl videos are funny and entertaining and the vlogs too. Interesting to see how some of those up and coming kids you spoke to are now turning into future super stars of the sport like Stefanos, etc.

Welcome to the new downgrade. I am just amazed at the spin sales tactics will put on anything. Crandon Park felt like a tropical island. You are saying a parking lot is the new oasis.

@@RacquetComedy There was a time, when that site was considered the 5th major. The players voted it their favorite site on tour, routinely. My last go around for the tournament was 2009. In the late 90's, however, it was amazing. My friend was a ball boy a couple of years. Him and another ballboy went door to door and stayed at some residents house in a rich part of Key Biscayne. After that, he dedicated all his energy to make it in tennis. He never did get an ATP tour point, but the vibes associated with that place was amazing. I am 40 years old, I know what old South Florida was. The people are being ripped off. They don't want to promote variety and class to the new generation. Why? Because it is cheap to produce low grade stuff.
