I loved his portrayal of Loki... and I cried for Captain Nicholls... now I'm smiling in astonishment at how smart and sensitive this actor is... I might become a hiddlestoner at this rate

Deeply enjoyed this two part interview. Loved hearing about his journey and his mentality as an actor and how the discipline he acquired from Rada was a key. I'm not going to be an actor, but one day I will get actors like him, I pray, out in the open for people to see their talents. Would just love to be a casting director. Best of wishes to you actors.

It really inspires someone with an offset mentality to explore their own world. Listening to what he has to say and the way he expresses about it gives a perspective of opportunity to anyone.

I understand the most gifted actors have probably been acting/had the passion to act since childhood but it would be so inspiring to hear about someone who took up acting in later life with little previous experience. I've always desired to perform but regretfully started my 20s as was expected - get degree, find job, buy house etc. Now all I dream about is acting and going to RADA and casting off the 'norms'!

it's NEVER too late. it may be difficult at times, but it's so much harder to not follow that voice. perhaps as a first step you can take a short course at rada and see how it feels? it would allow you to continue your dayjob. and i'm sure you can find opportunities to act, maybe start your own acting group or find people to make short films with? there is something in you that wants to be shared with other people. keep listening. i'm sure you'll find your own way into making your dream come true. lots of love! (hey, you wrote this 10 months ago - maybe a lot has happened in the meantime? :) )

I completely share your feelings. I'm 29, I have a full-time job, but I'm kinda starting to succeed in it. Not on Tom Hiddleston level, for sure. I agree with the comment below - it's never too late. Wish you good luck and hope to see you on the red carpets!

TYSM for sharing this speacial early interview 😘 I saw it for the first time and I'm so happy I have found it here. It's so great to hear Tom talking about his passion for his job and how much he love his job. You can understand why he is like he is. For me it's really like a long #LoveLetter to #RADA and to his passion for his job. I'm so happy that we can follow him on his journey. I'm sooo sure there are some really great roles on stage, TV or cinema are waiting for #TomHiddleston I can't wait to see what's comming at next for Tom. ❤ I love him cuz he is so talented, kind to all people he meet and has a beautiful soul. 🎬🤗❤

Its quite unusual to find people/colleague who are willing to help and share a fellow who is in a sort of competitive environment to further their talent. perhaps rada is indeed an agreeable choice as tom said.

If I get into RADA I am so asking to be Tom Hiddleston's buddy
@billiesbiggesfan10 жыл бұрын
This makes me want to enroll with RADA so much, I have a BTEC in performing arts and it seems to have a very similar and paralleled way of teaching to what I'm already familiar with, I can understand and relate to every scenario he's presented here. Although I have to say if I was a student paired with him in the 'buddy' system I would never be able to just casually call him up for help.
@Lmak41510 жыл бұрын
Why not? Yeah, he's famous and all that good stuff and you can get star struck but I think he would want you to call him up more than you want to call him.

I don't think you should be afraid. As far as I saw about Tom Hiddleston, he is very down-to-earth and modest. He would not judge your questions or your answer. He would gently answer you

oh my lord Hiddleston accepting the glorious beacon of becoming an actor...He's an overrated actor whose performances lie in the dustbin of bad acting, relying on little more than his smug charm and a polished exterior. He lacks the range or emotional depth to bring any real complexity to his roles, this interview being a good example of that. He delivers lines with the same rehearsed expressions and RADA esq posh twatishness we've come to appreciate as being an "actor" from a wealthy family who can afford anything they want. Instead of transforming into his characters, he seems to merely coast by on his reputation, failing to capture any real sense of authenticity or grit. His acting is superficial, offering nothing memorable or compelling... In short I'm not a fan... I don't think he'd be a good drama teacher at all. His ego (even pre-fame) wouldn't fit through the door and if it did it would do little to educate anyone to anything other than "Hiddleston is great.... be like me"
