Here I will share some history. In the early 1960's my Pop was an engineer and our family came to San Diego California following the aircraft industry. For ages I remember knives like this in the kitchen, I never knew where they were from until I researched online a few years ago. They fascinated me because they were the solidest design for a knife I had ever seen - virtually one piece. I found the words: "CHUPPA CO" and Stainless Steel on the blade of one, and followed it through the internet eventually arriving at RADA. The black handle style I just sent for a master set of (Ultimate Gift Set) but the original ones with brushed aluminum handles to me speak deeply of old times, and what was occurring during those times as well. Nobody had an air conditioner back then, and houses all had clothes lines out back (for Momma). In those days they built things to last... And really, with stainless blades and a revolutionary sharpener to draw a fine edge, there is no reason not to expect to hand these down to the next generation. ~ But I will be sure and tell them about what they mean This is not an ordinary thing, you can get kitchen blades for a dollar ninety nine anywhere - and they wind up in a junk drawer. When I went through my fathers place in 2002 when he passed on, I could not save many things but I saved all of these I could find. Through everything that happened these lasted - and I remembered my Mom's hands using them 🥲 She had passed away the year before in 2001. These older ones to me have a connection to a long time ago, I don't think I even need to TRY to explain. But these are the kind of tools you want. LEGACY equipment - the kind that lasts lifetimes

Have used you knives all my life, my grand parents and great grand parents always had them. Now that they are available online I will be buying a couple of sets to give to my kids.

In the 1990s I sold Rada Knives in Northern British Columbia, Canada, on the Alaska Highway. I am long retired and I am thinking of selling them again. A quality product.

Thank you for making American products. It’s companies like you that give that American reputation. May I ask you proudly stamp your steel with USA and your name.

Love hate with some Rada knives, but generally I keep reaching for them in the drawer first, mainly the paring knives. Love how they are instantly sharp with the Rada wheel sharpener. Metal is a bit soft, but that's why the wheel rig can sharpen them so fast and easy. Maybe it's time for a anodized or powder coat or plastic dipped handle. We all know how aluminum pits and oxidizes. USA Hooray!

So that's where them sharp little silver knives come from. I wanted to by a bread knife. But got a really great knife sharpener for $8. Now I definitely don't need a new bread knife cuz my ol good will double bladed meat knife is really really sharp for sourdough bread.
