I totally get it. It doesn't help that he has those janky, blinding aoe attacks that never seem to have consistent hitboxes (I'm sure they do, but it's so hard to tell with all the lights and uneven terrain). For me, summoning didn't help at all. If anything it made the fight worse, especially in the second phase where the light clones would just randomly swap targets and I couldn't predict what Radahn was doing. It's a shame too, because I completed Ansbach's questline and I wanted to fight alongside him. But I eventually beat it solo. I lost count of how many tries it took, but I did it with a greatshield, divine fortification, and the antspur rapier. Not the most skilled way of doing it, but I don't care; I'm just glad it's over.

I believe in you afrosenju. Games can be intense, and losing to a boss fight like radahn can be frustrating, especially if you’ve invested a lot of time and effort throughout this entire journey. It’s natural to feel that way. But you’ll come back stronger. And once you beat him, it’ll be an achievement worth screaming and celebrating for. Take a moment and some time to rejuvenate your energy. I too struggle with this boss fight as well, but manage to get it done on ng+3. As a player who is horrible at dodging and reading attacks, the only way I found to beat him was by using a shield and cheesing him with reduvia blade. I also use my summon, as well as summoning thioller and sir ansbach to my aid by doing their quest. I don’t know how people are able to solo him without any summons, because this boss is ridiculous. His combos are crazy leaving you little to no room to poke. But I do what I had to do by using these summons as a distraction so I can poke from afar.

Radahn is a very tough fight, my biggest advice would be to mainly use a greatsheild and stay calm, use buffs like golden vow and flame grant me strength. His attacks do not leave a lot of room for punishment but be patient. You got this Afro! (Also he is resistant to slashing and holy damage, and weak to pierce, frost, bleed, and scarlet rot)

Radahn was basically the ultimate test of “how much are you willing to keep your pride and honor with this “challenge” you placed on yourself?” Elden Ring basically gave us all the tools that can assist in beating the game in a more comfortable and enjoyable way, and most of us basically threw probably half of those out the window just for the challenge. Radahn existed to tell everyone to stop that.

I used summons on my first playthrough of the game and enjoyed it. On subsequent playthroughs however I stopped using them. Went through the game prob 6-7 times now. Then I played this dlc, summoned Igon for Bayle and really enjoyed his encounter, dialogue. I brought back the mimic tear from my first playthrough for Radahn. Im happy to have beat him, I dont feel like ive been cheated of anything using the summon, Radahn was not an enjoyable fight for me.

Radahn is crazy. Either tank him or lock in and dodge. You CANNOT greed on him or you die 100%. You dodge 1-2 combos and then attack 1-2X at most. So take your strongest weapon and do one big hit. Also take your time man. Don’t worry about the vid, I’ll guaranteed watch it whenever it drops. Im looking forward to it but no pressure. Just take care of yourself and don’t let the rage take over. Its not worth breaking expensive equipment over any game.

There are absolutely punish windows, But they are very small, You can chip his health down pretty good if you take 1 swing each opening, Like you said, Greed is the enemy here, Any more than two swings and your cooked, Depending on the weapon, Even two swings is risky, This is the ultimate endurance fight, I studied his moves and eventually just waited for the specific ones where i knew 100% i could strike, Learned to dodge his attack patterns and repeat. Funny enough, I feel like I absolutely mastered his fight when I finally beat him, First playthrough 100+ deaths, Second playthrough, First tried him using Claws Of Night. Waited for his opening and blasted him with that scatter shot AOW, Was blown away how good that weapon is.

As for the most recent, I truly think that the bosses of Elden Ring were designed fully with the expectations that people would use spirit summons with them. People like to act like using summons is "Easy" mode, But honestly for Elden Ring's design, Summons are "Normal" Mode, And no summons is actually "Hard" mode. The punish windows with some of the late game & DLC bosses are so small that even more experienced players struggle with them, With Summons you'll still have to dodge attacks & Everything, But your able to get in some free hits when the bosses are distracted. I'm not ashamed to admit I use a support summon myself, Stormhawk Ash buffs attack power and occasionally diverts bosses attention, But unlike something such as a Mimic, It doesn't constantly attack the boss, I think more should utilize support summons like this tbh, Makes for a pretty satisfying balance IMO.

i was fighting him for a couple of hours and kept losing, then i gave up and went to my mother, i was depressed as shit that my mom was like "is this my son?" then i went to watch some anime and then slept, i woke up the next day and went back to fighting the boss, and when i beat him i was like" damn, that felt good" and this have happened to me before, i was playing dark souls 3, i got to nameless king, got beat up and then dropped the game for 3 month. so make sure to not overplay and take a whole day of to chill, cause the point is to enjoy your time and then worry about what people say, i dont come here to approve that your a pro or not, im here because of your crayy thumbnails, your crazy editing and your expression and reaction(not the rage parts). so its absolutely ok to take a day of. and this is still a video so yeah, you haven't lost the challenge brother.

I'm not gonna lie Afro I felt the same way during Radahn. I thought this was the wall, the thing that'd make quit since Demons Souls. I slept, I gained new perspective and I worked to perfect phase 1. In phase 2 we traded in the end and we both died. I was in shock when I won. This fight gave me the confidence to return to every souls game and beat it without summons. I'm on DS2 now. If my bad at video games ass can do it, so can you.
