The RadiaCode is a great tool to find out why background radiation is unusually high because you can use it to identify the isotope(s) causing the elevated radiation level.

Fascinating. I live near an old nuclear aircraft/ metal research site in North Ga. I am going to buy a "103" and survey the area of the hot cell, robotic transport train tracks and outdoor test site the prototype engines.

I never knew I'd need a radiation detector, but the more I think about it, the more interesting it would be, since there are many different types of rock formations around here, including granite etc. and we were in the original Chernobyl fallout zone (even though furthest outskirts west). I'm also kind of surprised this is once a tool with an app that significantly adds functionality over your typical "eh, it's making a list" or "you can take a picture!" kind of Chinese apps.

Yes a nice bit of kit when integrated to the app. I will seffo get the latest addition. Now I also have several CZT devices with a 2% half height band with (HWBW)... half way between NaI Tl and HPGE....😂 but a room temp device. So find an 'item of interest' and study further at 2>5% HWBW to work out what I am looking at. So Sputem when you finally get your act together I am easy with a head start. Ho ho ho Great bit of kit got one inbound right now

Yikes $491 CDN for Radiacode 103 or $471 CDN for Radiacode 102 is too rich for me. If one had that type of money there were more things I could think of spending it on that I would get use of them. Was this a sponsored video?

A spus ca mostrele emit radiatii alfa, care nu penetreaza pielea. E ok sa le tii in plastic, atata timp cat nu le inghiti.

youtube use to have a table where youtube channels of the same creator are located side to side to what channels the creator suggest to his community. sorin can add links to your other channels i can find them any more! especially ham radio videos i miss them

radiation is now always around us and has been increased significanty due to atom bombs testing , which is why most medical equipment is made from metal from ship wreaks from before ww2 ,which is also why the metal cost so much as it is low in radiation compared to anything else mined or recycled since ww2.

I've seen the Kreosan team use this device in Pripyat in the basement of the hospital the firefighters were taken to after the Chernobyl disaster, well worth a watch if your into radiation.

gold does not emit any kind of radiation, because it's a stable element. On the other hand, a gold isotope does emit, but all the gold isotopes are short lived and mostly created in labs so you won't be able to find gold in the wild, if that was your idea..
