Today is one of the only days i can listen to this song. It would have been my brothers 35th birthday. He passed away almost 2 years ago and there isn't a day that goes by that i dont think about him. Always make sure to tell the people that you love that you love them. You never know when your going to wake up and and find out there not there anymore. I miss you so much big bro. You were and will always be my best friend. I love you so much. I went to see Sevendust in the summer of 2002. The sun that day was extremely hot. Everyone was over heating and using their shirts as wash cloths to cool down from the drinking fountains. As soon as the band started to play this song, clouds swept over us. It started raining and the lead singer stopped. He started to cry and told all of us, "This is a special rain right here". They continued with the song and by the time the song was over, the rain stopped and the clouds went away revealing the dry hot sun again. I will never forget that experience. I was never a die hard fan of Sevendust, but that experience was very strange. That's all I have to share.

This band Sevendust has meant so much to my son . He love their music as a teenager and would always attend their concerts whenever they would come around . They were the band that inspired him to pick up and learn to play guitar . He idolize these guys so much . Over time he started bands, played in other bands. Then he found the right fit . His buddy Josh and him put together a 6 piece band they named Burden Of The Sky . They did all the local bar gigs and surrounding areas as their talent grew . In 2019 they were able to open up for Sevendust for of several shows . My Son was beyond excited to get to open up for the band he idolized as a teenager . He had already been diagnosed with stage four non-Hodgkin’s at that time and going through chemo treatments . But nothing was going to stop him from playing with the band he loved an opening for the band he idolized . He was given a bone marrow transplant 1 year ago on February 5 and then in March The worldwide pandemic hit . He was able to beat the cancer finally . But the treatment left his lungs scarred . So when he got hit with Covid at the end of November he had to go back in to the hospital. He thought an amazing fight but his lungs just couldn’t take it . We got to go up to the university of Chicago and say our goodbyes to her beautiful son on Friday February 5 one year from the day of his bone marrow transplant . My son Bradford was only 31 years old he was the kindest sweetest most genuine person I’ve ever met . And so many people have reached out to us over the last couple days and told us the same thing . He was an accountant by day a Rockstar by night. He was just in little central Illinois band but he made an impact to all the people that met him . Fly with the Angels my son ❤️

Every time I see the video it brings back that whole day, seeing him lay there in the hospital bed. I have a new life now, I've come a long way, joining the Marine Corps, seeing and doing things people wouldn't imagine. I only hope he's proud. I miss him everyday. They sang this one of the times I saw them (I actually ended up meeting them that night - they are as cool in person as they are on stage). He talked about his brother a lot before singing this. A very dear friend of mine lost her 6 month old little baby boy to SIDS in June 2019... This song immediately hit me and brings me to tears every time I hear it... He was a perfect little innocent boy taken way too early... Thank you Sevendust for a song that speaks to so many in so many ways... God Bless you all...

His voice is so soulful it inspires me. The clip is so surreal it scares me.

I remember when that song came out, it was rather close to the time my sister and our "2nd mother" died. She couldn't deal with loosing her that well and the stress of being a perfect teenager got to her, I still dedicate this song to her, I named my daughter after her because of her memory. I still miss her after all these years, yet the lyrics just speak perfectly to me in what I wish I could tell her to this day.

Lost my mom when I was 12, almost lost my sister shortly after that. And lately the greats are dropping like flies... Static, Bowie, Lemmy, and that's on top of the last wave, The Rev, Paul Gray... I guess when you're a bright star and you burn hot, you have no choice but to burn fast. RIP.

The first time I heard this song I was in Mosul, Iraq. They came and put on a show for us. He told us the story behind the song and opened up to the crowd a bit. It was a beautiful moment. We all threw our name tags from our uniforms onto the stage lol. I was 20 at the time and had been there awhile at this point. The morale they provided was priceless.

Angel Son's is a great a example of how diverse Sevendust's work is. When my drummer first introduces them to me, fell in love at an instance. Their tightness, vocals, arrangemnet was so new to me, there couldnt be a be a better band!!

This song is a testament to how amazing rock music is, how many emotions it can touch in such a profound way, and how fantastic Sevendust is. Unbelievable that this song came out so long ago - it is timeless. Thank you for this!

I never knew there was a music video for this song, somehow. I've heard this song a thousand times and didn't know there was a video until just now. A fantastic song obviously.

I lost my mother to breast cancer when i was a child in '93 on Dec. 16th. My holiday spirit was broken and it was just a few days after my birthday. This killed all my happiness this time of year. I'm not religious but i was once told "God will look out for you and yours, and he will bless you and help you find happiness through the hard times, and through the holidays." A parent should never out live their children, but my condolences, my dear friend. RIP Maggy, and RIP Mom, we miss you.

+Bryn BORDELON We saw Snot out here a couple months back with Hed PE..They were great, Lynn would have been proud. I don't know the dude who was doing the singing but he did a really good job, and they did pay respect to Lynn. It was great.
