Thank you for doing these videos Marina! I’m just starting my journey. Having a lumpectomy soon, radiation 5-7 weeks and hormone blocker (pill) for 5 years. All of my doctors have downplayed it. Telling me that radiation is like a little sunburn. I’m the kind of person who needs to know exactly what to expect so your videos are so helpful. Please know that you are making such a difference for so many by being so informative, honest and positive! 💖

why do these docs downplay radiation so much?? It is as big a deal as chemo but seems to be an afterthought in some respects. I am so glad folks are doing videos so I know what to really expect (generally, as I know we are all different)

Hi Marina! Thank you so much for sharing your journey. Your videos are so powerful and inspiring! It is really eye opening (to say the least) what you and your mom and SOOO many others go through. We hear about breast cancer all the time, but I've never had such an in depth understanding of what the entire experience is really like. It makes me realize a lot... How much of a beating your entire body goes through, how much your daily routine has to adjust, and mostly how much a positive attitude and strength can make it all seem okay. YOU ARE YOU ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!! Love and prayers to you and your family!!!! 💞🙏

Watching you is just like talking to a friend. You’ve been incredibly helpful! I am about 2 weeks post op from my lumpectomy and chemo port install. Healing well. Your tips and Amazon shopping list is amazing! My family purchased nearly everything on there for me lol. My cancer did not spread thankfully, but I will still be doing Chemo + radiation. Chemo is expected to start in May. I am watching all your videos on chemo and prepping as much as I can. God is with me and I feel at peace 🤍🙏☺️🫶

I am a breast cancer survivor of 23 years. I tested positive for the BRCA1 gene mutation. I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer this past June. I had a total hysterectomy and now currently taking chemotherapy. Thank you for your videos.

Hi Marina, thank you for your video's. I'm dutch and also have tnbc but without the gene mutation. There are so little video's of people with tnbc here in holland so i'm happy to see you are doing ok and it helps me to hold on. 4x AC did not work with me so now i'm having nr 6 of paclitaxel and once every 3 weeks carboplatin...3th of sept. Mri scan and hoping this one will work. 🍀🙏 Have a great time with your husband and thank you again for all your tips, trics and positivity 🥰

Hi Karen! I know the curly hair is coming for me next and I honestly don’t love the growing out phase either! I will have to see what I come up with as far as styling it this time. Thank you and hope you’re doing well too! ❤️

Thank you so much for these! You are so honest and I love seeing your family. I am on this cancer journey… have had 4 taxol and now my 5th was postponed…it has bummed me out…I will have surgery and radiation down the road so it will be great to rewatch these as I reach those stages. Good health to you.

You’re welcome! Thanks for looking! I had my 6th taxol postponed and it bummed me out too, but it turned out my body needed the break that week. I felt better after a week off to restart. I hope you do too. Good health to you!

My fav thing to use since radiation has been Cerave Healing Ointment. I wasn't sure at first because it's petroleum based, but it's oddly not greasy and verrrrrrry moisturizing!
@MarinaBlackford3 жыл бұрын
Anything to help the healing! And it’s not like you’re going to use it forever so I think petroleum based is fine for a short period of time but that’s just me. 😉

Hi Marina! I understand that you had removed both breasts due to cancer in 2015. How is it possible that the cancer came back in your breasts? This is a nightmare and I love your positive attitude and the way you deal with it.
@pam1643 жыл бұрын
I would think its come back in her chest where her breasts were.
@MarinaBlackford3 жыл бұрын
Great question! I did have a double mastectomy and breast came back (new occurrence) near my ribs/under my armpit. I was not expecting that and my oncologist was not either. The same recently happened for my mom. It’s a rare occurrence like 5% chance.
