Thanks SubaruFanatic for the warning. One does need to use caution not to bend the fins. But my pressure washer, depending on nozzle I use. Runs at about 1200-1600 PSI and hasn't damaged fins yet. Done about a dozen within last 4 months. I've pulled the engine radiator (we three in a row) after cleaning. The fins are not damaged. I do use garden hose also, to get in tight spots. Others have reported using higher PSI without damage as well. Bugs hit at HWY speeds does more damage. Maybe Subaru aren't as tough as Toyota radiators.

Pressure washing the radiator is a great way to bend the fins and block air flow. I don't recommend this. Garden hose with no attachments is the most pressure you should use on the radiator. Apply a bug wash and rinse with hose. You can also use a radiator specific brush to nock bugs loose.
