Loving the more frequent uploads! Just wondering, how long does it take you to complete the 'average' watercooled build from start to finish? (with cables etc but no custom paint)

Never gonna see the cables, sleeves them anyway... Perfection* :)

I have modded these fans before. I found the best way to keep the cables in check as they come out of the fan was to dremmel a hole through the side instead of cutting the clip off.

I bought one of those flameless torches. Worked for maybe 10 or 15 shrinks and quit. Had to go back to open flame. I liked it while it did work though. :)

Fantastic guide. Thank you. I just need to learn what connectors to bye so i don't grab the wrong type. other then that im gold. & yes the fan splitter (Phobya) is great i could only get 1x4 x4pin from Germany in eBay. PCCG & Mwave don't stock them.

search for modmytoys on amazon.. you can buy basically every fan splitter you want there..

With a setup like this, could you run the power lines in parallel and just run individual signal wires with an umbilical type setup? Not sure exactly how pc fans are controlled, I'm used to ESCs with power, ground, signal, and optional signal ground.

How do you cut the matte black vinyl for the fans into a perfect circle?
@brandishwar7 жыл бұрын
There are circle hole punches that go up to larger diameters. Check craft stores or the craft sections at online or department stores and you can probably find one -- e.g. I saw them at Michael's the last time I was there.

Very useful video thanks. I wonder if anyone makes an fan AND led splitter. I did a quick search and didnt find anything. Would it have been better to do this before sleeving (up to the point of crimping)? I am not nitpicking, im just trying to understand.

Hello. Some size of AWG will be the best for modifying cables to the power supply.

Dear Daniel, I've got an NZXT grid+ fan controller but cable management is horrible, can i use a fan hub like you are suggesting behind the fan controller as long as i dont go over the 30W power limit for the grid+? Looking forward and many thanks for your time! Keep up the good jobs you do, really like the content your making!

Hey. Love the channel. I got a question regarding fan connections. I'm planing to run 6 non pwm 3 pin fans on 2 x360 rads. Can I run and control all of those fans with a powered fan hub off of the cpu opt on my mobo? My motherboard has the option to control the fans with voltage control.

Great. Why not a push pull on the top radiator. There is place enough or?
@brandishwar7 жыл бұрын
There's little point to doing that. It's 4 more fans, meaning 4 more fan cables he'd be modding. Another splitter. Another channel he'd need on the Aquero for controlling those fans if one channel cannot handle 8 fans (likely not since that'll likely mean more than 1A of current). All for... a couple C difference in temperatures.

where can I find such fan splitters, wouldn't want to make a mistake:)

I would simply sleeve the cables AFTER cutting, so the chances of confusing the pins is way lower 😎

I hope Daniel was just checking to see if the fan still worked after his "purrrrrfect" custom wiring, because at 8:35 its spinning the wrong direction =D

do you realy use those very loud fans from corsair...i use noctua...i knew they are ugly but they are very quiet and have a great performance...i would rather like to paint the noctua then use this turbine fans xD
@Dunkelelf37 жыл бұрын
doesn't really matter with this overkill rad surface i guess.. they can run on minimum all day even under load..
