Your videos are great, and as a result I'm learning German with Anja. She's awesome. I haven't completed the course yet because I've had a lot going on, however I definitely will eventually. I was once at a party here in Florida with a group of Berliners and they said I was the friendliest Brit they've ever met. It's interesting how Germans are sometimes perceived as not being very friendly, yet these guys seemed to think we weren't very friendly either.

My family has spent the past month in Berlin and we watched so many of your videos to prepare for our trip. Sadly, we'd already booked an apartment in die Mitte before finding you! Anyway, after a summer month here, my question is: why do Germans hate ice in beverages? Berliners seem to love international flavors, so here is my official request to add iced coffee to the list, please.
@RadicalLiving2 жыл бұрын
Hope you had a good time! Well if you put ice in the drink it will dilute the taste, plus if there is ice in the glass you actually get less of the drink. Every time we are abroad we ask for the drinks without ice so we usually have double the amount to drink😅

Lots of work options if you want to teach languages. (I worked with sake wine actually.) As for bread, honestly, I never found a good German bakery but there is plenty of good French bakeries in Kansai (Kyoto, Osaka, Kobe) and Tokyo. Actually, if you look hard, there are many good French bakeries throughout the country. I know what it is to miss good food outside of your country. I am from California and really missed good Mexican food but know of one great little Casa-style in Osaka so if you like a hunt, you can find most anything in Japan. Best wishes! :)
