As a citizen who lives in a country plagued with terrible accidents and reckless driving, I commend you for taking every precaution possible for this run. 15 years ago I had a very fast car, I accelerated it up to 270 km / h on an empty highway, I was in the left lane, I saw a car in the right lane, without any other car, I was passing it was a simple smart, suddenly it moved for no reason in front of my car, luckily I was able to brake, with all the force that the brakes and tires of my car had and to avoid an accident, I stopped immediately after, the tires of my car they were smoking, I could see the steam rising up the hood, the smart one only went 120km / h, the speed difference was 150km / h could have killed us. (by Radim's video team) For those that say it was irresponsible and dangerous: 4:50am on Sunday 10 cars per 10km so 1 car per 1 km Good visibility is about 3-4km straight ahead so there is enough time to react. The Chiron can brake from 400 to 0 in 9 sec. within 490m. All cars are in the far right lane. There was an earlier drive through the section to make sure there is nothing on the road. There is a fence along the whole stretch of the highway, so no animals can interfere. 3 people were spotting on 3 bridges for maximum safety. If you still think it’s irresponsible and dangerous, well, we respect your personal opinion. What did the guy in the Porsche feel like when he was overtaken at 417? The thing with transport is the surrounding road infrastructure and what you would exclude from the roads fielding such cars as a routine. You would probably have to have some form of signalling and advance warning devices similar to HST signalling. The cars themselves would definitely have to be tested thoroughly regarding brakes, tyres, suspension etc. and good luck getting to do this with bog standard licence or driver health. you would have to adopt aviation standards of personnel health and vehicle condition to pull this stuff off.

Vážený pane Passere , moc si za sebe přeji , aby Vám to co jste dokázal se svou Bugatti v Německu prošlo bez jakýchkoliv popotahování byrokratů.. Nikoho jste neohrozil , Vaši akci jste měl již z videa předem připravenou a mrzí mne postoj fabriky , že se distancuje od Vás . Jenže to je právě to, čeho se mohou oni chytit. Pokud pan Passer jel jen tak pro radost a vybral si k tomu ideální podmínky, je to pro člověka, myslícího selským rozumem, asi v pořádku. Jenže slova jako rekord, připravená akce atd. to posouvají jinam, mimo běžný provoz na dálnici. Zkrátka tam, kde lze mít na provoz jiné nároky a ty vynucovat. Tak to prostě je.

Wow. Sa mi paci, ze ste do toho isli s respektom a pokorou. Trosku sa mi zdalo pomale (cakal som rychlesie) zrychlovanie do 300 ale to asi kvoli strihu videa, lebo ked som videl ako to ide od 300 dalej, pecka! A btw tachometer ciachovany do 500kmh je top :-)

Imagine in 800 meters infront somebody changed the lane infront of him. With 400kmp+, he has a brake way of more than 1km! It's allowed in Germany, but it's not smart to do that.

No. The Bugatti Chiron has a braking distance of 500 m from 400 kph to 0. So with a reaction time of 1.5 seconds there would still be enough time to slow down for a car going 100 kph. You can't compare a Bugatti with a normal car. This car is built to drive this fast SAFELY.

Everything was done within the rules. The transport ministry seems to be trying to put more weight on the opinion of its current members that it does on the actual rules and laws. One would understand if they were careless, but it is evident that alot of planning went into this. Many of us viewers are happy for him and enjoyed the ride as well.

414 mph is more than 650 kph. I am pretty sure neither The Lord nore Jesus would allow that sort of endangering other's lives on a public German Autobahn

Just seen this from the German gvt response and I must say I do agree that it was highly irresponsible when you see the closing speed of other cars, you were closing on them at at least 160mph, you simply can’t react to something coming at you that quickly. Closed road, fine, but this is just asking for trouble, I hope you don’t do it again, the more you do this the more likely it is it will end in tragedy for some poor soul making their way to work or family at some ungodly hour of the morning

Even worse, some other drivers will try to do the same on the Autobahn now and there will be some stupid jerks who end up in a crash, possibly killing innocent other drivers who are also on this Autobahn. The Autobahn is for travelling not for races. If you can afford a Bugatti then you also can afford to rent a race track or airfield for this purpose.
