That is the exact power range and (hopeful) response I want for my 98 SC. I'm not looking for a high revving screamer, just a little more daily street power.

I’m running twin EFR 6758s on a 5.3L LS. Not exactly apples to apples, but a little less than 2x your displacement. It made low 700s whp on 18psi with over 600wtq by 3500. Transient response and boost threshold are amazing. It’s the perfect street car turbo. Shouldn’t have an issue making 400whp on an 2JZ and with VVTI, it'll have even better low end.

Nice work all! Now I feel more comfortable about my 2JZ with EFR7670 0.83 T3. I'm aiming for 500whp only, but I was unsure about choking the motor at high RPM. What do you think Dan? So far it feels super responsive, but haven't been pushing it.
@RADIndustries3 жыл бұрын
It will choke out up too for sure, but it will have great low end torque

Can you use the block drain on the exhaust side of the engine as coolant supply for the turbo
@octagon_0093 жыл бұрын
Why do you recommend the turbo oil pump when you dont have oil squirters in the block?
@jessicadunn18992 жыл бұрын
plotted the turbo on matchbot with e85. if you can get this tiny thing to spool 30psi at 3k-4k rpm, you should be able to make 600tq. at 3k 30 psi is right on the surge line. 4k at 30 psi it look comfy sitting in the 72% island. 5k there is no way to hold 30psi and you're going to taper off hard. best i could do to keep the compressor map on an island was 22psi tapering to 17 right at the choke like. the engine delta pressure was negative from 4k on staying round -8 till redline where its pretty bad at -15 and only making 17psi of boost. that means exhaust manifold pressure is going to be greater than 30 psi. yikes. going to be real hard to keep the wastegate shut to keep boost pressure up. i estimated a pretty good decrease of ve starting at 6k and having 85% at redline due to manifold pressure. peak hp should be around 500 @5k and peak tq 600 @4k. redline you're going to be down to 490hp and 340tq. this is all rough estimates so well see
