Never quit please and allow no one to take this from us. People don’t realize how many lives cars change positively. I’m not a Supra guy but I love them. Weird car progression. Fc na fc turbo gsr gsr turbo ek b series sbf single fox. But I love this channel. Anywhere I can learn something. I yearn for it. It’s seeking almost. I have a bad case of mechanical ocd. I do everything myself on the car aside from machine work. I wire build engine trans diff tune etc. and I never want you guys to quit. It’s motivating. The same folks making everything more efficient and pushing the envelope are the same people they want to crush. It just makes me sick inside. If we would have stopped at the edge we would all have carb’d pig skin bearing hand crank start engines. We cannot allow ourselves to be regulated into history. That’s my opinion at least. Thanks again. On a lighter note, Jay since you are 💯 should you make the spark make 💯 top to bottom side to side or what? Cheers.

I knew it was the oil pump once y’all pulled off the head and saw it was clean, in OHC cars with true oiling issues that’s typically the first place that gets fucked up, cams and cam journals. Been there done that with a SRT-4 and a built 2003 cobra 😂 part of the reason I might move to LS builds after I finish my 2J… cam in block stuff is cheaper I had figured the OPRV (pressure relief valve) on the pump was malfunctioning, didn’t think that the pump screws were backing out due to vibration at high rpm though that’s wild 🤯

Pedro a good dude

When I saw that oil filter as clean as it was I'm like "there's certainly almost nothing wrong there", such a big effort to pull the oil pump not being able to do it while the engine is in the car. I run a 3SGE BEAMS engine (at 330,000KM's) stock and my filter looks like it's been in a barbeque within minutes

Pedro has the arch angels around him at all times, forget those silly sensors, they're mear distractions lol... But ok, so the lesson today is that harmonics can rattle an engine apart, however Jay builts such bullet proof engines that they're we'll within safe operational ranges even if oil pressures fall below 50% of expected?

When the top end of the engine was in that group of shape I was pretty sure that the back of the oil pump had come loose which meant despite the engine having low oil pressure the engine still had good oil volume. I have seen this problem before on a stock 2JZ once before years ago

I had a pickup tube failure on a turbo Buick refresh when I was younger that basically killed a motor. On the Buicks the pickup tube is bolted on with two 3/16 bolts and I think I forgot to torque them down. The engine didn't make any oil pressure at all.

Jay, you are very smart and friendly guy. I enjoy to look your videos. I wonder how Pedro's engine can hold that power, without dry sump. How do you get such clean bearings? I put my engine together without big power. I choose with 2,5 main and to 3 thou rod bearing clearance. But the bearings after 1000 miles smooth driving, looked not nice. Do you use the coated bearings? When I see your bearings I am impressed. It looks great. Respect for the great built engine.
