Lovebites are pretty much flawless, in my opinion. Great musicians, great vocals, great songwriting, great lyrics. And what I really love about them is they come at you with different styles, from traditional heavy metal to power metal to thrash. I cannot get enough of them.

This group not only blows you out the door with their LIVE FLAWLESS performances but they make your head explode on the way out of the door!!!! Best and most dynamic duo playing LIVE in Midori and her ESP and Miyako and her Dean. Then you have Miho and that wicked Jazz bass and the little dynamo, Haruna who beats those drums like they owe her money!!! Finally, a great front woman in Asami with a commanding presence and great vocals. Somewhere the GUITAR RESCUE SOCIETY has a WANTED poster with Midori and Miyako on it, for abusing, over working, and making their guitars scream and cry!!!!

You nailed it, part of what makes the two shredders so riveting is how different they are. Light and Dark, extrovert and introvert, speed demon vs. cruncher--but either one can smoke almost any other shredder out there. It's insane that one band has both of them. Add that to the mad bass and drums, and you have a tornado, tearing the roof off your house.

You are right, after having been LOVEBITTEN it doesn't need much words any longer to describe the fantastic music they deliver, everything has been said already and their music and their way of performing speaks for itself again and again. So I just enjoyed listening to this for the xxth time. Thx and keep them LOVEBITES coming. I'm too lazy to check it out, so if you haven't already reacted to "The Hammer of Wrath", that would be a recommendation. But please do it in combination with the intro piece "The 'Awakening" (like on their album "Awakening from Abyss), it definitely gives it an extra kick. BTW, imho "The Awakening" is one of the finest intro's to an album, song or concert, I ever heard.

Yep: as good a guitar pairing as any in the world right now. Miyako has said "Midori is faster and more technical than I am," but that's kind of like saying a Koenigsegg is faster and more technical than a Ferrari. Miyako also has mad chops (and Midori's playing isn't lacking for feel). Moreover, this band has a brilliant rhythm section, not only both technically proficient but always absolutely on the same page. Add a charismatic frontwoman with power and range (who takes it up a notch live), and you have a band I have no doubt are destined to be metal legends. There are no weaknesses here.
