Midori's solos are hard and discordant but done with such dexterity and fluidity that it all works and goes down well like a bitter drink with a pleasing after-taste.

7:20 Asami's microphone is wireless. Midori didn't trip on the cable. Asami and Midori were leaning against each other, back to back, and Asami walked away unexpectedly. Midori lost her balance for a moment but recovered without falling.

It's really cool how you guys find/notice something about all of the members to talk about. Haruna doesn't gets talked about as often as the other members usually. You guys definitely mention her more than other reactors.

A cool-ass song, enhanced with the greatest guitar solos I've seen in many years. Miho and Haruna make the background sound groovy. I'm curious if this song will be played live again in the future.🤘🤘

There's also another great performance of this song taken from a studio session streamed during Covid, and is part of the "Live From Abyss" DVD. It has a killer mix that brings out all the instrument, especially the ending guitar solos. Really, every song on it is phenomenal and worth a reaction....btw, all of Lovebites' songs are in English, plus they have a pretty huge international fan base. It shouldn't be a surprise to hear Asami speaking English.

This might be the greatest metal jam session ever… The amount of quality tracks that they’ve put out in 7 years is insane, I don’t see another band that compares to them. I really can’t…. Lovebites is in a league of their own! ❤🐺🌎🤘🏼

Asami has spent time in the USA and as a result her English is very good, she has spent some time lately working on accent/diction so it is even better now than it was then. She writes the lyrics for a lot of their songs and has contributed lyrics to at least one other band (Lonesome_Blue). I guess it is time to talk about Lonesome_Blue a bit, they are related to both Lovebites and Nemophila, all 3 bands have an ex-member of Destrose in them. Further the secondary composer of Lovebites, Mao, is also a significant contributor to Lonesome_Blue in addition to being the Keyboardist for the band Lightbringer (Miyako is the primary composer of Lovebites writing more than 50% of the songs). Lonesome_Blue are a hybrid/fusion band Rock/Metal, the song that is the best introduction to the band is "Face the Fear" (they have other songs, they are good, but they are aimed at a specific audience, anime viewers, because 2 of the members are also anime voice actors). While I could talk about Destrose, this is long enough already, they have a Wikipedia page and there is a website of the Destrose family tree (which is huge).

She announced “Judgement Day” at the March 11th gig in Tokyo in perfect English. I can still hear her saying it. “This next song is called, Judgement Day”. It stuck in my mind because she said “called” the way an American would, but the diction was perfect.

You have to love the guitar WAR here as the M&M show is in all it's glory. Hats off to Miho/Haruna who just make the M&M show so possible to experience. Then again when has any former Destrose member ever disappointed. Good reaction and anything from this show, 5 of a Kind (2020), Wacken Open Air (2018), or Ride for Vengeance (2021) will be great to experience.

Funny that the comment on the original video says Asami trips Midori with her mic cable, yet from the first few seconds of the video, it's clear that Asami is using a wireless mic. Also, this song sounds a _bit_ better on their live studio recording, "Awake Again: Live From Abyss," mainly because Midori doesn't try to cross her hands and miss notes like she does at 11:31 here. Plus Asami sounds better there; she reins in the screechy distortion in her voice there. While there's a lot of good here, especially Haruna and Miho, the live studio version is cleaner and feels more like what the song should sound like.

Well, it's live on a stage as opposed to on a stage as part of a long-form performance so it's not going to sound 100% like the album. Also, they're humans, not robots. They're going to make mistakes from time to time, especially as what they do requires stamina and a lot of technical ability. Nobody's perfect 100% of the time and that's actually a good thing I think for live shows (within reason, of course). I still think these ladies sound amazing here, mistakes and all.

@@jasonbodden8816 "Well, it's live on a stage as opposed to on a stage as part of a long-form performance so it's not going to sound 100% like the album." I've been a musician for 30 years. I know this. Even if I had never picked up a guitar or bass, what you're saying would still be patently obvious. "Also, they're humans, not robots." Lies. My Asami-bot is on its way to my home right now. "They're going to make mistakes from time to time, especially as what they do requires stamina and a lot of technical ability." Anyone with a rudimentary understanding of how humans work knows this. "I still think these ladies sound amazing here, mistakes and all." I never said they sound bad, just that they've performed this song better elsewhere. "Daughters of the Dawn" is my least favorite of their live performances, but it's still pretty damn good.

LOVEBITES - Scream For Me lyrics: SOLO: miyako Communication breaking up and I can't figure it out Baffled, So out of touch with what's to come All because I just can't seem to get through to you We wait Debate Our fate Trying to escape from all the deceptive rules I've had enough So what's the way for us to get it? Before you go shoot me down Now's the time to come together Hear me out Cause what I think What I'm thinking about is If we let it take forever we just may lose it all "So what I think What I've been thinking's I just want to be me again" We gotta let go and just open up our heart and minds a little more Let go Take a step into a new tomorrow The panic fuze is burning and the world's on edge So you gotta let your soul be free - Panic fuzed me! SOLO: midori I wonder what you see whenever you're here standing in front of me What would it take to make a break From running in circles that only aggravate? Inside we hide but why? Genuine perspective could be the greatest gift we ever share I care enough to talk about it Come on Please don't shoot me down Now's the time to come together Hear me out Cause what I think What I'm thinking about is If we let it take forever we just may lose it all So what I think What I've been thinking's I just want to be me again We gotta let go and just open up our heart and minds a little more Let go Take a step into a new tomorrow The panic fuze is burning and the world's on edge So you gotta let your soul be free, yeah Let go and just open up our heart and minds a little more Let go Take a step into a new tomorrow The panic fuze is burning and the world's on edge So you gotta let your soul be free SOLO: midori / miyako We gotta let go and just open up our heart and minds a little more Let go Take a step into a new tomorrow The panic fuze is burning and the world's on edge So you gotta let your soul be free, yeah We gotta let go and just open up our heart and minds a little more Let go Take a step into a new tomorrow The panic fuze is burning and the world's on edge So you gotta let your soul be free - panic fused me! I don’t think Asami tripped her with the mic cable. I think Midori didn’t expect her to walk away when she did.

There was no mic cable, The band goes completely wireless. It looked like their heels got intertwined and when Asami moved away Midori tripped. It was a great recovery by Midori though.

Hi guys I would suggest the 3 "E"s, Epilogue kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z6rRn4t6m6qhpLs , Edge of the world kzbin.info/www/bejne/i4vNqYCgd9Sjbdk , Empty Daydream kzbin.info/www/bejne/oonLkKiDgp5noLc . They are all very good songs, not as thrashy as some others. In the first one, they start on acoustic guitars, Miyako jump from acoustic to keyboard to electric guitar ^^ In the second one Miyako starts at the piano. And in the third one she does that to and throw in a bit of Rachmaninov in there. I'm sure other comments will give you suggestion for more heavy songs. As usual, cheers from Paris Laurent
