Absokutely agree with whoever said stop until radio fixed. How they gunna call for help. Mind you the atc seems to understand perfectly so 🤷‍♀️

This is a towered airport. Epic is a large flight school. Until Epic fixes their radios, all Epic aircraft should be barred from NSB airspace. What if those calls were a student declaring an emergency? The tower would never know and the student would receive no assistance. This is shameful, and should put Epic under the FAA microscope. If they won't fix the radios, what else are they not fixing on these initial training aircraft?

This episode made me think of something I haven't thought of since the winter of 1985 when I was going thru Marine Corps field radio operator training. One part of the course was sitting there for days listening to these really terrible static and garbled recorded radio transmissions and you had to concentrate as hard as you could to transcribe what they were saying to pass.

The tower wasn't messing with them at all. That radio is off-frequency and needs repair. A week later and it's still garbled. Failing to get it fixed could be a matter of life or death someday.
