I have one question that really bothers me and I don't know what to do. Why does this cable serve as I can use it KCT60 i ordered a kenwood TH8303-HU radio but i can't plug it in because it doesn't work with regular black and red wire. They told me to buy KCT-18 egnition sense cable this and I got it but again I don't know how to turn on the radio. Do you know how I can turn it on and only then program the frequencies? Thx.

Good morning sir. I have the same radio the one you have . Question . Every mornings I have to hold the power button down for at least 10 mins for it to turn on . I have tried looking for spare parts and it’s like finding a needle in a haystack . Any solutions would be great sir

Jalani, sorry I cannot be of any help here. We do not have any spare radios for parts - nor do we have any issues with our current radio. I hope you find something to fix your problem.

Hello sir sorry for the late reply. I purchased electric paint and applied it to he back of the rubber and it works . The problem I’m facing now is I accidentally connected the wrong wires for example black to red which I no I made a mistake and now it’s still not turning on after I connected the wires in the correct way and put a new 10a fuse still not turning on but a nasty burning smell came from the back of the kenwood . Have I completed broken it

​@@jalaniashraf9064You have blown the diode protection. It prevents more damage to the radio, if you connect the wrong power wires to the wrong power poles on the battery/power supply. You should have that diode replaced. It's the obvious "burning" smell. Once replaced, the radio should operate just fine.

How do you control the squelsch open and close with this radio?

Videofarming, if I recall, squelch settings are set up in the programming software.

Rich each radio is programmed differently. It all depends on what was programmed into that radio.
