It was since ANC came into power that we coloureds and blacks could start excercising our rights in court. Ive seen thriugh the years the leniency of magistrates prosecutors with their judgements as I myself made use of my rights to get justice. I couldnt understand why domestic violence cases were dragged out so long for months on end and took up to 2 years in some instances, until God prompted me with these words "if you do not forgive your enemies I cannot forgive you your sins" it became so evident that God had a hand in all our problems and taking revenge wasnt our concern but His alone. God avenges our enemies. Ive seen so many of my rivals pay a deer price for the wrongs they did and seeing them suffer softened my heart that I felt such compassion that I never knew I had. Ive had the opportunity to be able to ake amends with a family member at the request of the magistrate who dealt with our case and acted like a councillor more than a judge. This opened my eyes to be more forgiving and accept forgiveness. There are great men of God who came iut of a dark world of sin whom God forgave so why cant we forgive. We are human and allow the flesh to overtake us. Instead of us praying for God to intervene in a bad situation we tend to run to the courts first. That was one of my downfalls and Im very well known in Cape Town court. I thank God He has given me peace and my prayer is it remains so away from trouble. God is ❤
