I would love to read a novel about the death guard in a more human light maybe something with them realizing themselves and what they have become or just a perspective thats not we are the bad guys nurgle this nurgle that.

Obsession is a hallmark of the devout, as a marked legion, they are nearly all devout. i would recommend the Lords Of Silence as it is the only current book with the Death Guard being the stars of the show, of course if you'd go back abit in time in some of the Horus Heresy writing you might find what you're looking for too.
