The tickets were the most expensive they've ever been. Plus, the hotels in the area raised their prices 200-300% for that weekend. NASCAR needs to put their foot down and force tracks like these to stop raising the prices, and the counties need to do the same to the hotels. Bad attendance leads to bad ratings.

They got fat off the early-mid 2000s then when the new fans moved on to the next thing, instead of recognizing a lost cause and returning to its roots, they resorted to progressively more pathetic gimmicks in an effort to bring them back, putting off the hardcore fans. The invention of and subsequent changes to the Chase... err... "Playoffs," the dozen different aero packages, the cluster***k of multi car qualifying, etc.

It is near impossible to see what car number, then what person (spotter, crew chief, driver) is talking, let alone read the box and watch the video.
