Hi. Great tutorial. Just wondering can the conditions be done in the ARF menu instead of the Trim Mix menu?

Many thanks for this great series of tutorials. So much more helpful than the often decipherable manual. But I do have a problem. I've set up conditions for Cruise, Thermal and Speed and am trying to use Trim 1 to set up the ailerons and flaps for Thermal and Speed. I also previously set up the Motor control on switch SG and Butterfly on J3 (I fly Mode 2) For some reason that I cannot fathom after I've set Thermal Condition, Switched on Trim 1 and changed the Aileron and Flaps as required then switch off the Transmitter and restart it the Transmitter switches on in RF OFF Mode with an associated message saying just "Trim Mix 1". Have you an idea what I might be causing this?

Hi @2009preston, glad you found the series helpful. For safety reasons, we suspect, the Futaba system would prompt pilots that there is a trim mix. Therefore, we like to suggest assigning a trim mix onto a switch, eg. Switch H (with is the trainer switch, if you are not providing training). Assign the on position as the default down or away position, so that is is always on in all your flight modes. To turn off the trim mix, pull switch H to turn it off. With this, when you turn on power each time and the transmitter beeps with RF off and trim mix warning, you just have to pull the switch H (or trainer switch). Hope that helps.

Hi. Thanks for getting back to me. I see what you mean. What I found after further looking at your suggestion is that I can leave the trim 1 settings in THERMAL AND SPEED as I have set them according to your video and so long as I set my Conditions switch to the default condition, which has rates / settings required for CRUISE the transmitter starts up with RF ON as normal. Once on I can then switch to the other conditions as needed

Please speak a bit slower and clearer. I know you are saying trim mix, but it sounds like tree mix. Thank you

Haha.🤣... Noted with thanks. Pardon us, our earlier instructional series uses a simple mic setup. It should a little better when we deployed wireless microphones in the later series. 👍
