Dr. Rubin and his entire team provide really excellent care. He treats his patients with so much care and respect. His toolbox is vast and he often is on the cutting edge of pain management. I have been a patient of his since ~2015 for my complicated issues and he has always provided me with real relief. His staff are like family, they remember your name and always convey your concerns accurately and speed. Something that I appreciate is the communication with Dr R and his team of providers. Whether it is scheduling appointments thru text messages, in person consultations or telemedicine appointments, your care is always surpurb. I have trusted him with both my spine and my brain and would not hesitate referring those close to me.

So how was it
@ripleypipe Жыл бұрын
Dr Rubin, here in the UK I had a very successful nerve block, however when I underwent a two facet joint nerve ablation five months ago, it just made the pain in my buttocks and back of thighs worse plus now the pain is continuous. I didn't fully realise how much this procedure would negatively affect my life if it went wrong.

I’m sorry to hear that. While I cannot comment on the specifics of your case, In general, RFA is not permanent and peripheral nerves can regenerate.

Dr. Rubin, what is the difference between radio frequency ablation and basivertebral nerve ablation?
@DrEdwardSRubin Жыл бұрын
Basivertebral nerve ablation is specific to a nerve in the vertebrae. regular radiofrequency ablation targets the face joints in the lower back. The concept of using heat to deaden a nerve is what they have in common, just targeting different nerves. Intracept targets the basivertebral nerve and traditional RFA targets the median branch nerves to the facet joints.

Can the spacers be use in cases of scoliosis?
@DrEdwardSRubin Жыл бұрын
Scoliosis is a challenge for spacers as they have to line up with the level above. So it depends how far off the levels are. That is a different video. Just FYI

Why doing this when a surgery is need it? Doesn’t make sense.
