I used landmarks for example I know that the white key to the left of the 2 black keys is the C so from there I know that e is only 2 keys away. Remembering only a few landmark keys is the way I find easiest since that way you can find yourself if you get lost in the middle of a song but I’m just a beginner teaching myself too that’s just what works for me.
