The Can influence is more obvious on this version, I think. I also miss the swirling synth sound but I do love how it's overdubbed in the final version.

Yeah, I love the even more krautrock-inspired first section here, but the overdubs on the guitars make the drop partway through even more impactful. I guess I think the buildup in this live version is better, but the payoff on the studio version is better. Either way I love how Can this song is.

Can you name a specific song or album, that would be great :D

@@robinenglert8091 Their album Tago Mago is considered their most influential, but their records Ege Bamyasi and Future Days are equally as good. Also I feel like their song 'Mother Sky' may have especially influenced Ful Stop

I find it interesting how Radiohead has a whole bunch of scraped songs that either never made it to a full length album or were changed so much that they're only a remnant of what they used to be. On top of that these songs all tend to be heavier than their modern/complete counterparts. Good examples would be Reckoner, Nude, The Trickster, Pearly*, The Trickster, The Amazing Sounds of Orgy, and of course Ful Stop. There are probably more that I'm missing but I think that the examples I gave are enough to show my point. Kind of makes me curious as to what a 'heavy' Radiohead album would sound like. And no I do not mean Pablo Honey, I mean even Pablo Honey had softer moments.

Alternate heavy rock album by Radiohead? Interesting idea?

I love when Radiohead goes hard. The Amnesiac b-side “Trans-Atlantic Drawl” is one of my favorite underrated gems and that’s probably the band at their most rocking. It’s borderline noise rock and it upsets me that they’ve never played it live

Nude completely changing it's message in the swap from OKNOTOK to In Rainbows is insane. The lyrics' story does a complete 180 with the 2 added verses.

Lyrics: You really messed up everything You really messed up everything If you could take it all back again Mounds and mounds of enemies My love will set you free I bet you really miss me, (miss me) This is a foul tasting medicine This is a foul tasting medicine You really messed up this time You still haven’t got the message yet Still trapped in your full stop Oh, you messed up everything Chorus: (At this point, it alternates and repeats the lines of “The truth will mess you up/Have a good time”) When you take me back Take me back again
