This version has so much more teenage angst in it from Thom’s voice, super awesome version!

i sorta wish they'd kept that transition from the "god loves his children section", that gave me the chills. ah well, is what it is.

I never really got that connection people make between Radiohead and Pixies, but after listening to this... I can hear clearly now 😅

Blow Out at the Astoria ‘94 was the Pixie-switch for me.
@MrMurph736 ай бұрын
Radiohead themseleves make that connection. They've said many times in interviews that when they started out they were trying to be the Pixies. Kurt Cobain said something similar too, about Nirvana

i love stuff like this because it really lets me relive the feeling i had when i first heard these songs for the first time. its such a beautiful feeling.

i agree with everyone here, that outro was epic, but i read somewhere that they scrap it because they didn’t want to use riffs in a repetitive way as for example, oasis

Please could you stop the noise, I'm trying to get some rest From all the unborn chicken voices in my head What's that? (I may be paranoid, but not an android) What's that? (I may be paranoid, but not an android) When I am king, you will be first against the wall With your opinion which is of no consequence at all What's that? (I may be paranoid, but no android) What's that? (I may be paranoid, but no android) Ambition makes you look pretty ugly Kicking and squealing gucci little piggy You don't remember You don't remember Why don't you remember my name? Off with his head, man Off with his head, man Why don't you remember my name? I guess he does Rain down, rain down Come on rain down on me From a great height From a great height Height Rain down, rain down Come on rain down on me From a great height From a great height Height Rain down, rain down Come on rain down on me That's it, sir You're leaving The crackle of pigskin The dust and the screaming The yuppies networking The panic, the vomit The panic, the vomit God loves his children, God loves his children, yeah

This ending reminds me a lot of "I Want You (She's So Heavy)" by the Beatles. It's good, but I like the eventual album version better.

Shit kids. This is how a multi decade hit is made. I actually like the chaos of this version better but I'm only one fan. That would be front row at a small venue enjoying experiencing a band finding the groove. (We used to do this back in the day)
