Keeping in mind, the radiohead were able to re-perform their studio recordings in the live arena, these songs had their own life on the stage and are still developing each performance, yet remain faithful to the original studio impression. I appreciate their ongoing exploration of their musical themes because as a fan I don’t matter to them as artists. If the radiohead succumbed to creative decisions based on previous sales and weight of likes vs dislikes we would have a dozen albums of “creep” rewrites performed by wind-up radiohead facsimiles.

To have a favorite RH song is an overstatement... because there are favorites of mine that aren't even similar to each other, to name a few, these two... weird fishes, videotape, the tourist, knives out, go slowly, no surprises, daydreaming, reckoner, you and whose army idioteque.... Some of them are similar, but some of them are different in many ways. Idioteque is much more different than no surprises just because of the style of music... whereas everything in its right place is much different than knives out, and all of these are much different than creep, which is also a favorite too lol But the ones I mentioned above I do listen more than others, all though all RH songs are songs I must bow down to either way, hence making a RH song being a favorite would act as an overstatement...

Melancholic and Lovely Music!!

Certain albums, like OK Computer and In Rainbows, are best appreciated with company, to remark about how amazing it is. Some songs, like Pyramid Song, Exit Music, and Motion Picture Soundtrack, are best listened to alone, as you feel your soul being pulled out and flushed from its pain. Sometimes it’s easier to do this alone :)

how can...who can...conceive of music like this - beautifully, uniquely 'off' in timing and sounds, contributing to the soulful lyrics - without some otherwordly [or deeply inner] connection, conversation? [btw, reminiscent of bowie's 'blackstar']
