@@teamataraxia6244 Thanks for commenting. But honestly, I'm not. I have a lot of friends that I'm very thankful for, yet none of them know about my depression. None of them know that I've considered very serious things. None of them know any of my struggles over the past two years. I’m a huge fan and have loved this song since seeing it live in 1995. It means as much as ever nearly 30 years later.. especially considering the grief and loss you experience over the decades. I first read the line “This isn’t living. This is just killing time” in the novel Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury. I don’t know whether Thom was influenced by that, he may well have been, he’s well read. Although he’s obviously capable of coming up with genius on his own repeatedly.

There's nobody out there who can come out on the stage like that with jeans and a button down shirt... and give an acoustic performance like that with their eyes closed. It really is amazing, whether or not you're a Radiohead fan. I used to hope like 10 years ago that they'd record this song, but it's almost like a phantom now and I think that's why people always request it.

everytime, i come back to this song, quite often actually, not the song’s lyrics but the melancholic melody just proves me again and again, how ‘true’ love could never be understood or expressed, it could only be felt through your heart and bloodstream. i guess we’re not evolved enough yet to understand love but it exists and we’ve understood a very very little of it’s meaning but we have made this ‘love’ very unnatural and with a selfish intent of our feelings and emotions but it is much more and beyond the level of our thinking and feeling. anyways i guess i’ll listen to this bittersweet and melancholic melody and feel it running through my heart and only get goosebumps. sigh.
