Radiohead and just thom Yorke in general dont just make music, they don’t just make great music or wonderful music either. They create a safe place where your soul feels like it’s being lifted by 100s of angels. They touch emotions deeper than sadness or happiness. They bring your mental state to a place where you feel warm almost like a hug, they bring you to a place where you feel like you’ve been given reassurance that eveything will be okay and that eveything is going to be alright. Radiohead has touched me spiritually and it's one of the best things that has ever happened to me. They are a blessing to my life. I hope one day I'll be able to go to their concert. Gosh I can't imagine that! I'd really burst out of tears there! It's my ultimate dream! I'm so happy I live inthe same era as Radiohead and that I discovered them and became a huge fan! It's amazing to stan them because they're being stanned for their brilliant music! And not for their lookss. Their looks are just bonus! And they're kind-hearted people. This is my favourite Videotape performance. And arguably my favourite version. The In Rainbows final studio version is now among my favourite ever songs. But at first I was a little disappointed because I wanted to hear THIS.. The point where Jonny comes in on guitar and raises the whole thing a level with a spine tingling melodic guitar line and then proceeds to do his unique Jonny guitar scrunch. When I didn’t hear that on the In Rainbows take I was naturally a little Let Down. But I grew to love it anyway for different reasons. However, many do see this as THE ULTIMATE Videotape. And with good reason.

I went down the rabbit hole. I watched several breakdowns and analysis of this song and eventually was lead here as some people claimed this was the best version. Personally I disagree. Pretty strongly. And I still like this version. I just think the more restrained version we hear on the album is more delicate and the build up hits harder because of the contrast. Also I think it suits the lyrics. Little better to have that dynamic. I like how the syncopation is more hidden in that version too. All the version are good, but I don’t agree this is the best. 🙃
