This means in a speed run where you stand in the middle of the run you could have over 3,000 ft range (over 1/2 mile)

Thanks for sharing! Found you on the Arrma forum. Your so right about all the range test videos that don't TEST THE RANGE. I bet if you stood on a stepladder in a remote location you could go a mile with that setup.

Something worth noting is that the radio latency is pretty bad over 1200 ft. Signal boosters help with this, but then you could run any radio...

Yes, the latest craze is speed runs, but I think most guys buying this radio are doing long range FPV and 1900 feet is pretty nice for most applications. Thanks for this info.

Lib, you should put a FPV camera on the car so you can do a full range test. Also may consider staging someone down range to chase it! (Give me call if you want to do it)

I was looking at the FPV setups but I dont think I would use them enough for the cost... Maybe a good set of binoculars on a tripod or something.

I just got this controller, I'm trying to figure this out is there a way to have duel rate real low during the speed run, then program one of the button channels, hit the button then the steering goes back to full rate? Instead of going into the menu then hitting a button to bring the car back to full rate

We had talked about this today on the Arrma Forum. There is no way on this radio to change the button settings.

What did you use on your antennas? Heat shrink?

I bought a 10 pack of antennas and they come with rubber caps for the ends. No heat shrink used.

I want to try again with some binoculars or FPV setup. I am certain is has more in it, but the signal latency is pretty bad at full distance.
