Si....

Regarding the neckstrap comment, neckstraps are just nice for any radio. If you have a plane you need to throw it makes that process easier. And when you are flying you can kind of rest your hands on the radio so you don't have to hold them up. So I get the neckstrap eyelit.

I just bought this radio being new to the hobby and realized it will not pair with the UMX models from Horizon, if I buy the external 4 in 1 module if I understand correctly it should pair with dsmx rx? will it also receive telemetry and the SAFE feature? Thanks! new subscriber too
@RCVideoReviews
@RCVideoReviews Ай бұрын
Hi, Yes, the 4-in-1 can bind with the DSMx protocols. You probably want to confirm specifically which protocol the UMX is using then check for compatibility here: github.com/pascallanger/DIY-Multiprotocol-TX-Module/blob/master/Protocols_Details.md I'm not a Spektrum user though, so not an expert. I do know 4in1 supports DSM, DSM2, DSMx.

I'm not to happy. Rm been aiming to much to drone flyer. When will we get a upgrade of a Tx16s mk2? I love mine but I haven't seen anything that can replace it that RM offer. I fly planes and helicopter. I want to see a mk3 better screen quality, voice quality different shape of radio some thing like frsky tandem x20s. Ugh what RM should do is get Spektrum, Futaba, Frsky and other fans to convert to RM they should be aiming pilots who flies those brand. Not aiming drones flyer.

Ok, I have been in the hobby for 40 years, but out of it for 12 years. I had been using the Spektrum DX6 & associated receivers, but Spektrum who once was the Bees Knees for what to buy has fallen off my top shelf because being almost strictly PWM with respect to receiver output they are useless relative to today's cool beans flight controllers. I like this Radiomaster entry transmitter and almost surely will buy one soon. My only question is towards the end of the video you discussed specifications in which CC2500 or ELRS was implied as being options under which the radio could be purchased as. I am assuming CC2500 & ELRS are communication protocols between the transmitter & the receiver, but regardless of which one is selected the corresponding receiver has a serial or SBUS output for easy connection to a flight controller. Given my assumption is true which would you suggest I pick up when starting from scratch since I have only Spektrum receivers? Thanks in advance... P.S. Once I start getting my new gear together I expect to use INAV. With that being a given do you have a favorite for beginners flight controller that allows for mission planning? Thanks again.....

@@RCVideoReviews OK, Great! Since it doesn't come with a 4-in-1 internal module, does it transmit through the TX16S or would I need to get an external 4-in-1 for the Pocket? Great videos, by the way! Bought an RCVR-2 also...cool bit of kit.
@RCVideoReviews
@RCVideoReviews Жыл бұрын
There are a couple of different ways to buddy box. I'm going to assume you're thinking wireless because you're asking about the 4-in-1. If you have a TX16s you can select FrSky_RX as the protocol which basically makes the TX16s look like a receiver to the Pocket. You also have to turn on Master/Multi in the TX16s trainer settings. On the Pocket, you'd choose FrSky D16. Then bind them together. So now the Pocket TX is bound to the 4-in-1 RX on the TX16s. The last thing you need to establish is an RF link between the TX16s and the model. You can easily do that with just about any external module on the TX16s. I use ELRS.

This would have been a great radio to have had when I was first flying with cheapies like the Cheerson CX10 (if didn't need the NRF24L01 from the 4in1 MPM). It's good to have a cheap entry-level (but still fully featured) radio that would be great for beginners so that they can get rid of the often pretty useless transmitter that comes with their model, and move on to something that actually has usable gimbals and the like.
@RCVideoReviews
@RCVideoReviews Жыл бұрын
That's what struck me too--full featured really. The only compromise is the number of switches. Everything else is there--ELRS, EdgeTX. Everything you need for an easy transition to a full size radio later if desired.

Hola 👋.

If you have the micro V2 there's a retrofit kit from TBS (basically a new case) for a few bucks to convert it to a nano module. Also there are micro-nano adapters available but they are quite clunky.
