You really know your stuff! Your instructions are detailed, have clear visuals, and your step-by-step tutorials make complicated tasks easy. Maybe you could open up a drone repair shop for all our FPV needs? Transmitter upgrades, builds, repairs, tuning sessions... Very impressive! Next time I see a big fpv race, I'll hope your tent is setup nearby! 😉 Great work Tmac!

I still like the 3 position switch better since I can rest my finger on it to disarm at any moment. if SA was replaced with a long switch it would be fine, but a button seems too difficult to reach for arming and disarming in my opinion. for the 3 position switch, I just use the middle position as armed, and I would pull it in or push it out to disarm(i usually pull it towards myself to disarm), so I didn't find that a problem. Nice mod!
@luchvk3 жыл бұрын
You may know this already but you can use SE↑ for disarmed and !SE↑ for armed. Alternatively, you could use: Curve => Func => x

Tmac: Before watching this video, I was hoping that you might consider showing us how to make use of one of these momentary switches to cycle between instructor and student modes of a buddy box arrangement. Is that still a possibility for a future video on the TX12? I love your videos! - Jim

Tmac: I was thinking it might be possible to use one of the momentary switches as an on/off trainer button. You are the expert after all your great videos on the TX12. Do you think this application makes sense? Can you demonstrate it for us? Thanks. - Jim

2:28 as you mentioned there's a port for adding a vibration motor buzzer for haptic feedback, please make a video on that, can we supply add the TX16S vibration motor, or something else, please Tmac, make a video on this, i wanna add that to my TX12
@TMacFPV3 жыл бұрын
No video is necessary. Just pick a 2-wire vibration motor and connect two wires into a 2-pin JST connector that fits the connection in teh TX12. Look at other 2-pin connectors inside TX12 for how they're wired as an example to follow. A lot of your FPV cameras come with theses type of connectors for the camera control pad, extra connectors, etc. (I got these 3V mini vibration motors on Amazon and they work fine: amzn.to/3sWgfQX ). Here's another kind from Pololu: www.pololu.com/product/2265 , and here's another one that should work: amzn.to/3rLOBVu . Lots of options you can choose from. bit.ly/VibrationMotors amzn.to/3uo7BuP . The 3V kind seem to work with the TX12. Most of the provided links are affiliate links. Please do not feel obligated to use any of them, however, if you do, you will be supporting your TMac FPV channel at no additional cost to you

TMac, could you try running Betaflight LUA scripts on the TX12? I am thinking it doesn't work with this particular model. Not related but having no luck, 'syntax error' every time after initial compiling.

Hello sir, I'm very new to fpv. Your videos are very informative. I have the tx 12 transmitter. I have been to every video on KZbin. But can't seem to understand the switch set up. I'm using the tbscrossfire system with nano rx. That part I have completed lol.. my transmitter seems to be different in the set up from all the others would you have any advice on how to set this up? Thanks for you time..

Why don't you just use OpenTx to make the function with the original momentary switch? Is it not possible to make use of logical switches or a very simple lua mixer script?
@MrHauf853 жыл бұрын
yeah, you can make a logical sticky switch to make it work as a 2 pos switch in opentx

@@TMacFPV You make a lot of very informative videos, but this one is not. It is completely unnecessary to change the switch because OpenTx let you mimic the function in SW. We all make mistakes and I really think it would be fair to your viewers to insert a link in the beginning of the video that explains the function can be implemented without HW modifications. Thanks

@@BennyBunkSimonsen Hey Benny! Happy Easter! Yes, the functionality of this hardware mod can also be accomplished through OpenTX logical switch programming. Although it's not stated in the video (and once it's uploaded, KZbin doesn't allow for changes, otherwise I'd be happy to), I did state this in my pinned comment at the top of the Comments section at the time I posted this video. As usual, there is more than one way of accomplishing the same thing in our hobby. This hardware mod is one way and accomplishes it's purpose. For those who prefer using OpenTX logical switch, I have included that option as well in my pinned comment. Enjoy your Easter!

2-position switch or momentary switch? Which switch do you prefer? Do you have a use for 2 momentary switches? If so, let us all know what you use them both for! Want to use your momentary switch to arm without doing this mod? check out this video using the "edge" and "stcky" commands, logical switches, and special functions within OpenTX. Just another "firmware way' of doing it. 👍kzbin.info/www/bejne/poeVopiObKeVjNE
