Thanks for the guide, you targeted all of it really efficiently and my new radio is now in its optimal state for my tastes. Side note to all that the Jumper T16 folding handle installs perfectly on this radio for those looking to make it optionally more compact!

Thanks! I will look into that handle!

NIce informations! Is it possible to make the throttle self centering in this radio?
@CustomFPV3 жыл бұрын
Yes it is!! They include some extra springs, and you can loosen out the tensioner rails and add springs just like on the other gimbals.

Great video and thank you! Like to see a couple of things: (1) Replacing the existing antenna with an SMA adapter to add your own antennas. (2) Copying settings from another radio to the Radiomaster (e.g., copying logical functions from the Jumper T16 to the Radiomaster. Thank you.

I am planning to replace the antenna with an SMA adapter here soon, and I will definitely cover that in a video. Unfortunately I do not have a T16 or another RadioMaster, so You will have to look elsewhere for that. Joshua Bardwell has some good content on this. Check out his channel!

I've just bought one and am wondering what happens to the warranty when you do all the various adjstments/mods. Mine has a sticker which will tear if you remove the back case. Will be fitting a folding handle soon so when I do that is it goodbye to any warranty protection?
@CustomFPV3 жыл бұрын
I’ve heard that you are pretty much in the clear on all that as it comes to adjustments. Just don’t do modifications or alterations to the parts inside and you should be fine. not 100% though. Mine didn’t have that sticker on it.

The tension is still soft eventhough adjust to its limit that mine was factory adjusted to max tension limit.Mine comes with 2 spare tension springs but the spring tension same with the installed one.I think need to find a pair of stronger tension springs but dont know where to get it.I see someone cut a few loops of it to make stronger tension.

I’m in the same boat! Seriously! I came from spektrum and i am used to having my gimbals nice and stiff. This has been quite an adjustment for sure but I think i am chi ally getting used to therm.

I'm 100% newb.. Just got this radio yesterday to begin learning fpv multirotor, on Sims. Since it's my first, would it be better to just leave it the way it is as far as tension? Just remove the ratcheted throttle?

Probably. don’t stress over it

For anyone looking at this and thinking WTF... You probably have the newer gimbals and the manual doesn't even have a drawing of these, let alone instructions of any sort. They adjust front the front with a 1mm hex bit. The vertical axis is the screw on the central gimbal part (only visible when stick is moved up or down. The horizontal axis is the hex screw nearest to it on the outer front gimbal part. Yes there's 3 other screws that look the same but they are structural.
@CustomFPV2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, there may be differences. this is a V1 TX16S and this video was made the first day I got it off pre order.

It should, also check for particles or bits lodged in the gimbal mechanics altogether.

Well Mine had a speaker attached to the back cover and two wires connect to the main board. SO CAREFUL WHEN YOU PULL THAT OUT. This may be old batch or something.
@CustomFPV4 жыл бұрын
Good to note, I had no such issue. I had a pretty early batch, I was one of the first preorders. Maybe it’s a new update.

My roll does not spring back to the center. is it broken or is there something i can do to fix it?
@CustomFPV4 жыл бұрын
You are going to want to look at the spring assembly inside the radio. If you watch the segment of this video focused on adjusting spring tension, where I put my screwdriver is where one end of the spring is located. maybe it came off. Let m know.

Good videos so far. Thanks for taking the time to make them. Do you use telemetry on any of your airplanes? I have a specific question and so far haven't found anyone who can help. There is a new bnf airplane available (Ultimate 3D 950mm Smart BNF Basic with AS3X & SAFE ) that has full telemetry to a Spektrum transmitter. Do you know if the same telemetry is available on your Radiomaster transmitter? It can be seen at: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pGWUnoZ3rNFon68

I do not run telemetry on any of my planes, however the telemetry works flawlessly on my quads, bound with a dsmx RX (spm4650) where receive RSSI data. I can’t say for sure but I would be hopeful that the dsmx telemetry would be supported, as there is a telemetry interface built in to the TX16s. I hope that helps!
