When setting up dual rates and expo in the spectrum dx9 you have one switch that you set up all three (rudder,elevator,Aileron) you set up 3 difference rates say 5% 10% 15%. That makes the sticks at center a little softer. So it would be like this 100% 5% 100% 10% 100% 15% So that's dual rates and expo together correct. So what you are doing is limiting the travel.

It is a way of doing it but not the best way - you should leave your inputs alone and put your rates into the mixer screen that way if you want to mix say rudder with aileron you only have to add one input and not three lines with the rates in it.

Thank you for your suggestion. Personally, I do not use the mix function on these types of conventional airplanes, but I will look into the mixer screen to learn more.

Very helpful video,thanks...I'm a newbie and have just bought the TX16S. Have bound my Eachine E119 heli to it, and the difference from the toy radio that came with heli is amazing. But on throttling up heli always pitches forward now and trim wont fix the problem.Could you suggest how I might fix this please? Is a mix needed .I really am new to rc but it is so interesting.

Hi Ken. This is exactly what I was planning to do! I have an Eachine E119 as well. I already took the unboxing and flight review videos back in August, but did not have a chance to edit and post them. I have been having problem with the stock transmitter; the right stick is basically dead around the center and not accurate at all. I have been planning to move the E119 to my TX16S as well. I will let you know once I do that and try to diagnose this issues. Best regards - Fettah

Hello, I use my TX16S to bind any DSMX receiver, then when I fly, always heard “ RF signal critical “ , and if I fly father then 50 meters, I lost my control for a few seconds. Do you have this problem, if you did bind a DSMX receiver.

My friend the airplane u have it’s electric, but can you operate gas engine airplane with this tx16s ?

Hi Friend. Yes, you can operate glow and gas engine airplanes with this transmitter as well. Instead of an ESC (electronic speed control) connected to the throttle channel of the receiver to control the electric motor, you will have a servo connected to the throttle channel of the receiver rotating the throttle lever on the engine. Take care.
