I just realized that most legendary sets are a representation of a family dynamic: Groudon and kyogre: Two children whose determination to be superior than the other is unending. Xerneas and yveatal: two siblings who have taken different paths in life but never grew to resent each other. Creation trio: A child, in rebellion of his distant father, did something unforgivable that couldn't be taken be taken back, but never truly hated his siblings, but still that same rebellion for his father. Those are a few off the top of my head.

Well he is 2x weak and if he is slower or switched in and gets up his ability his weakness becomes neutral so the match up usually depends on who gets up heir ability first. They both can act as counters for each other depending on the stats or moves they run

So the lore behind Kyogre and Groudon is that they ARE the creation of our world. They represent unfiltered, primal powers. They are not chill because their nature is primal. As for where they are at, their final battle before being quelled and turned to stone is why.

There are a couple of twins in pokemon that don't fight but only fight because of control. A few being Kyuram and Zekrom. Ho-oh and Lugia. And finally Zamazenta and Zacien. Palkia and Dialgas fights expand the universe and are in constant conflict.

People always say that Groudon is at a constant disadvantage. I disagree. While primal kyogre simply changes the rain to be enough to put out any fire that comes on the field, which is eh because water already does that. Whereas Groudon changes the temperature of the god damn sun to a point where all water evaporates instantly which is huge as water's boiling point is 100 degrees Celsius. Kyogre makes rain wetter while Groudon manipulates the heat of a solar body. I rest my case.

Primal Groudon is actually ground/fire type so you got that one correct, but Primal kyogre is still just water type

@@alfieclark5390 1) There is Ground beneath the Ocean 2) Groudon can make the sun hot enough to evaporate water 3) Groudon can expand its battle area just by moving, which Kyogre has to start floods (which, it can easily do) 4) Under Desolate Land, Kyogre's abilities are so substantially nerfed that its completely useless against Groudon vs Groudon who gets one shotted under Rain (but he already did that), who can still get a heavy swing on Kyogre 5) Groudon can just make volcanos, which it can then use to unleash more pain upon Kyogre In the context of the song: 1) Groudon's verse is cooler (my opinion)

Actually, Primal Kyogre using a Water type move only does 6X damage against Primal Groudon, assuming no form of rain or sun is up. Dual type Pokémon take quadruple damage from any damaging move of a type that both of their types are weak to, and STAB moves do 1.5X the damage that said move would do if a Pokémon not of its type used it. If we assume rain or heavy rain to be up, the damage of a STAB Origin Pulse, assuming no investment in Special Attack, changes from 612-1084 to 916-1624, both a guaranteed OHKO.
