Do you ever recommend putting a rubber boot over Heim joints to protect from mud and water?
@ShockTherapyllc25 күн бұрын
I don’t. Two reasons. Boots usually trap water and mud in the boot over time. Second. Good rod ends. Emphasis on good, are self cleaning. Mud and dirt or sand cannot penetrate a tight teflon liner system. You can cycle them under water, submerged in mud or under ground without wearing out the actual rod end parts or liner. The issues are with bad or low grade rod ends that are super common. Low grade materials that rust or degrade are a big problem. Crappy liners like injected or molded liners are also a huge issue because they allow the elements in. So no to boots. Yes to the best quality, teflon lined rod ends you can get. Never an issue.

@@ShockTherapyllc awesome thanks. Also why do some company’s make radius rods with 5/8 rods instead of 7/8 for the pro xp? Even zrp uses the smaller 5/8
@ShockTherapyllc24 күн бұрын
@@travisfeld97because they are cheaper. Keep cost down. It’s a bad idea. They just wear out right away. Pro R is heavy enough to need big stuff.

@@ShockTherapyllc it’s a pro xp. But already ordered the 5/8😢. Loving your springs though! Thanks

I believe the inside bolts are a one time use bolt but you reused the stock hardware. What is the torque on the inside bolts?
@ShockTherapyllc Жыл бұрын
You could be correct but we have used ours quite a bit with no issues. The torque spec is 100 ft lbs

@@ShockTherapyllc thank you, if reusing those bolts are good for shock therapy, they are way good for me. You mens are the pros!

Do y’all follow Polaris’ ridiculous wheel lug torque spec?
@chuckjones53794 ай бұрын
The overall consensus is that polaris mixed up the torque specs on the axle spindle nut and lug nuts in the manual. Spindle nut should be the higher number and lug nuts should be 88 ft/lbs.
