A classic power move! But the NHL is so unaccustomed to such techniques that they immediately get into a fight. It's another thing to crash near the side, or push on board, this is normal in the NHL. Классический силовой прием! Но в НХЛ настолько отвыкли от таких приемов, что сразу лезут в драку. Другое дело врезаться около борта, или толкнуть на борт, это в НХЛ нормально..

The hip check is a lost art for most…and the ref certainly missed it. I hope he apologized to Gouda’s and the team afterwards…but I doubt it. Maybe he’ll apologize to him at the next game they meet. I’ve had a ref do that…Tell me he got it wrong and apologize. They’re Humana and make mistakes. I sure loved that hit though…I’ve been on both sides of a hip check…and it was a clean hip check. Wish we saw more of those!

I've been saying it for the entire year, I CAN'T BELIEVE HOW PLAYERS LEAVE THEMSELVES IN SUCH EASY KILLER PUNISHMENT SPOTS, just a few years ago no way folks turn their backs ,stand & wait for passes, skate freely in the center ice area READY TO GO UP ICE WITHOUT REALLY CARING OR LOOKING? Look folks no way the NHL is going to stop old time hockey they have tried the last 7-8 years & yes it's made for amazing highlight reels but how much of that can you even take in? It's now every night every game in the league has highlight reels, But G D IT it's not NORMAL!

Life long hockey fan/ducks fan. I turned the game off after this. Same reason I don't watch the NFL anymore. If i start seeing great hits like this be penalized, it gets very easy to not watch. Then what's up with every solid hit leading to a big scuffle. Let's get back to hockey, people.
