My neighbor got 1900 miles until he got new tires. 2016 rad mini. Still rides often, he has no car. Original battery still charges 80%. I have to give it to radpower, pretty amazing longevity.

Thanks for the great info on the Kraze tires. You got me on "it will coast an extra block"! I'm a big boy with a Lectric XPremium and the 4x20 knobbies on it have a max pressure of 20 and don't roll worth a crap! Saw the Krazes mentioned today and have been doing a little research and stumbled on your video, 2 years old and very helpful! Can I still use the stock tubes? I assume they will be fine. Did you notice a difference in braking performance between the slicks and knobby tires? I have a different ebike bike with 20x4 knobby tires and besides being noisy they slide quite easily when I brake hard in city riding. I'm going to just ride out the knobby tires and switch to slicks if they're better for pavement.

That would make sense for dry stopping with the knobby tires since you would have less of a contact patch (since the knobby tires hold the tire off the ground a little). For me they feel like they brake the same way, I would certainly say the knobby tires will brake better on grass or gravel.

I found that the Kraze was a little bit thicker rubber, therefore, would be a little better for anti-puncture. Thank you for the comment!

Great video! Just what I was looking for. Do the Kraze tires, because they're slightly smaller in circumference, cause your peddles to scrape/hit the ground when you're turning while peddling?

Thanks for the comment! No issues with scraping/hitting the ground. Yes they are “slightly” smaller but we are talking about a very small reduction in size.

Thank you for the comment Tom! Honestly when I ordered the bike in early spring of 2019 I don't think the step thru was an option. Also I just like the look of the regular mini.

I just ordered a RadMini and it came with 3" wide tires. I'm disappointed. The rims measure about 2.5" across. Do you know if the Kenda 4" tires will fit my rims?

Not entirely sure but it should be ok since it is only 1/2". I was sad to see that my Mini4 has smaller wheels/tires too.

Do you recall the weight difference between these two tires? Looking to get more street oriented tires, but don't want to go to full on motorcycle tires due to their weight.

I never weighed them but I can tell you that the weight difference was very minimal. They are still “bicycle” tires so there is no major mass to them.

Is the slick more prone to punctures? Is there a big cost difference between the two tires?

Thanks for the comment Mark, although I have not measured the thickness of the contact patch on both tires I would have to say that the Kraze (slick) is actually a little thicker. Puncture wise I have had 2 with the slick and 1 with the knobby. Keep in mind I run the slick many more miles per year so that is not saying the slick is more likely to get a flat. Cost wise I think they d were exactly the same price.

Thank you for the comment, they are slicks so I honestly would not use them on any off road surface other than hard pack dry dirt since they will slip pretty easy.

Honestly I’m not sure, is the Talon 2 a 20” x 4” rim? If so then yes they should fit.

Just checked giants website and the bike you’re talking about only comes in a 27.5” or 29” tire size so no these will not fit.
