@@pwill3958 you cant make a list like this without yourself putting input. its not a biggest skate vid or whatever by the numbers list (thats established by the frequent use of first person). that said, hes still trying to be objective with it which he does by explaining why he likes those videos so as to make it legit. you watch too much watchmojo or some shit if you think "best" has to reaffirm the majority's opinion. while radrat can be snarky, i think people just dont get people having personal opinions; it ought to be something that should be respected especially in the skate community imo since it shows his own passion for the stuff, by doing away from being a robotic shill pumping out content.

I've to say, Hokus Pokus was the one video that left everybody with their jaws hanging. Questionable too, but HP really was the most radical of all.
@jasondashney2 жыл бұрын
The reason I think Questionable is superior with jaws hanging is because Hokus didn't have that one part that you could point out. It was just good overall whereas the Pat Duffy's part was something the likes of which nobody had ever seen. There never has been nor will there ever be another part that is so advanced over everything else. The only thing that could come close was Danny Way's mega ramp part but he was literally the only person skating it so of course it was more advanced than anybody else.
@jdmresearch2 жыл бұрын
@@jasondashney Fair point. But then I'd argue that PD's part is the greatest (close second, Natas in Strees on Fire). If we're talking about the whole video... HP.

@@jdmresearch HP blew my mind when it came out. It didn't have a cast of already established monster names nor such a small team so it's not remembered as highly but in its day it was an absolute bombshell. Danny Way, Sal and Mike Carroll (and Matt Hensley who was the biggest name of them all before Plan B came out) were in both videos now that I think about it but they weren't yet what they would shortly become. Anyone I'm forgetting?
@jdmresearch2 жыл бұрын
@@jasondashney I watched it about 200 times. Seriously. The first time we watched we couldn't believe it. Another thing was that there were no parts of individual skaters but sessions with many people skating together. Lots of fun. Other skaters: Colby Carter, Ron Allen, Tony Magnussen, Brian Lotti, Kien Lieu (Donger), John Reeves, Alfonzo Rawls... Those came to mind now, but I'm sure I'm forgetting other important names. Favorite part: Hensley et al night session with impressive jazz rock music including a virtuoso guitar solo (an unusual choice).

You can definitely tell that you are very much into technical tricks than style as well as Mullen enthused, RadRat. Really, you missed out on Video Days, the Powell videos, Toy Machine's and Anti-Hero videos, Planet Earth's videos, 101, gosh... I can go on! Yea, as many folks put up, Baker 3 really introduced Antwuan Dixon as a polarizing figure of street style.
