Cool. I seen one video were the guy mounted an Accessories Bar to the handle bars and then mounted his GoPro and phone to the Accessories Bar. Looked clean.

How did you attach the turn signal to the back rack? I just got one and have been trying to figure out how
@michaelboyle5776

We used zip ties around the rack bar. The clamp that it came with didn't fit the bar, so we improvised! Works great!

The orange rack matches the white bike, but on the black bike yo!
@HopPinandGo
@HopPinandGo 3 жыл бұрын
Well, 'matches', much like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder, right? Also, supply and demand meant that orange was the only choice available at the time. Orange also improves visibility out on the road. When you're riding with two small kids, being seen is safe, in our opinion.

What is a"cap"? Didn't understand and link doesn't work. Had a 2018 Rover but was too tall. I'm 5'7". Need their step thru or a rarer 24" fat bike. Really like that throttle! I slow crashed once with the grip throttle. Good post. Need cap info and if you know of good 24" fat ebikes set up like Rad. Love their front basket too. Thanks.

The cap goes on the battery connection when no battery is installed. It helps prevent corrosion and damage to the connector. Available at 1859nw.com

When you attached the rear view mirror, you should have first moved the pedal assist buttons over and put the mirror as close to the handle as you could get it. Then you can see better.

I understand you used zip ties to affix to the rear rack bar, but what did you attach the zip ties to on the back of the signal? The back is flat with no loops or holes where the pole mount slides into.
@HopPinandGo
@HopPinandGo 3 жыл бұрын
We used the original attachment strap. The strap is against the rear rack frame, horizontally, and the zip ties go around the rear rack frame, holding the strap securely, and it is very solidly in place. It also has a bit of "give" if we were to inadvertently hit it or grab by that part. It is better for the light to shift than to have it break.
@miker6511
@miker6511 3 жыл бұрын
I didn’t realize the provided strap can be changed to the horizontal position on the backside. I thought it only slides onto the back of the signal in the vertical position for a seat post. Thanks

The rear rack has eyelets on the right side to route the taillight wire back to the connector following the frame parallel with the chain. radpowerbikes.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360020193353-RadRover-Rear-Rack-Installation-Guide

Yes you will need an extension. The Rad rack comes with it, but you can buy the extension on its own for use with other brands of racks.

Definitely no issue with those heights. I would recommend the step thru for anyone under 6 feet. I also recommend it for anyone with flexibility limitations. The height of the leg over style requires a good karate kick to get the leg up and over! Lol!

20 MPH with Throttle Only, on a flat smooth flat surface anyway, as the US like most Euro countries has that as max. More to keep the Class 1 Bicycle rating, for use on shared/multi-use walking & biking paths, with families and such walking 5 mph. And here you come, silent but for the loud knobbies - messes up my new into content creation audio, actually - coming up behind them at 400% plus of their speed. Which is why I also ding the little bell way out, esp if dogs & kids on bikes rolling left & right. Can be pretty scary to all of a sudden have a huge mass going really fast zio by a few feet away. Also here in Atlanta it’s the law to alert pedestrians that you’re over taking. Also we should all be trying to be respectful co-citizens/ co-humans. Esp since rental e-scooters by the gazillions all over the place, where partying (ie drunk) folks that have never been on a scooter - ain’t simple esp at speed - can rent with an app and zip off first time and at night, on roads etc. I say all that because cities all over are Banning ALL Motorized vehicles in so many places, since so many variations also OneWheels etc. Also here many suburb cities have made biking on sidewalks legal, due to CV19 aspects & more folks riding, most - like Me - aren’t all that keen to be sharing lanes with stressed drivers of unknown attention & abilities, driving multi-Ton vehicles towards me. Anyhoo, I’ve gotten my Mini up to 30.4 MPH on a longer decent hill, although was fairly scary & also a bit unstable. I believe I have a headset issue, though, Also bikes aren’t full suspension, less weight, less serious braking like a motorcycle. I do wish it had an 8th gear since it washes out many times, the pedaling can’t catch up to RPMS of wheel. I used to ride motorcycle but somehow it’s different going fast on a bike; maybe it’s the lighter weight, or the fact that there’s hardly anything under you but cheese-grating asphalt...and I don’t wanna be cheese!😬
