Native english speaker here. Seen a lot of covers of anime songs in the last 10 years. I have never seen a native english speaker sing a Japanese song with pronunciation as good and as effortlessly as you do. I just discovered you with this cover, and I've started going through your catalogue. Your translations are amazing in both languages. The fact that you also have a sing-song quality to your voice just adds to the specialness of what you do. I only wish that I could subscribe to you more than once - why you aren't over a million is beyond me.

Funnily enough, it seems that Radwimps (the group who sang the original song and has great English proficiency from growing up in the US) recorded the song in English using her lyrics with only minor changes. So her cover of the song kind of did end up getting used in western countries.

She's probably learnt japanese. Being that she knows what the English translation could, she didn't have to use translating apps. Cause I did the same. First you have to learn the japanese language and figure out what it is English and go from there. Don't translate from English to the other language cause sentence order would be different if you copy and paste the language and then translate to english.

A lot of English covers usually changes the lyrics to a whole different one sometimes just to match the rhythm of the song, but this is quite impressive because you kept the original Japanese lyrics and just changed it to English! ...which everyone should do, but I really don't find anyone doing that since it's a pretty hard thing to do :/ This is one of the best English covers I've ever heard and I really love your voice :)

I'm Japanese but I've been living in America for more than half of my life and I gotta say, this is so good. I don't know anyone who has actually translated every word and and made sure that the melody and tune wasn't different from the actual song. I subscribed. I really love how you make the lyrics fit so well while still making them flow with the song, if you know what I mean. I've heard other artists make English versions of Japanese songs and the lyrics are always so awkwardly translated and it doesn't flow well with the song (Against the Current's The Beginning cover, for example).
