原曲のメロディ崩さないように訳してるのが凄いと思う

日本語の原曲なので音節が非常に多くなるのが洋楽（英語）との違い。 つまり、原曲に合わせた英歌詞は音節の数だけ単語（概ね一単語一音節）を入れて日本語のようにメロディーを創るので音節がくどくなる（詰まる）のが難点。 プリテンダーを例にとると、good byeは英語がカッコいいのかも知れないが、２シラブルでメロディーの流れがよくなり、サヨナラでは４でくどいからだろう。 だから、愛しのエリーや宇多田ヒカルのオートマチックの様に日本語バージョンと英語バージョンの曲では、英語バージョンは英語のシラブルに合わせてメロディーが変わったのだろう。 Rebecca, it wouldn't be nice, if you could understand what I would like to say, thanks.

すばらしい。流石ネイティブですね。オフィシャルの英訳と違ってメロディに合わせるため言葉の選び方も違いますし、韻も踏んでいますし。 　英語→日本語カバーだと日本語は音節が多い関係上元歌より内容が薄くなってしまします。最近の邦楽は歌詞を詰め込むため基本メロディは８分音符でも１６分音符を多用しています。そうすると日本語→英語でカバーしたとき逆に無理矢理単語を詰め込まなければならないように感じます。 　これはデビー・ギブソンとエリック・マーティンがそれぞれ邦楽の英語カバーアルバムを出していた時に感じました。デビーが言うにはメロディがピョンピョン跳ねるので面白いとか。 　実際カバーされてそう感じることありますか？

This is so beautiful, and I feel that it’s the first cover that truly touched me. Romance has always been a hard thing for me, and for some reason, I feel like destiny doesn’t have much planned for my partner and I. I won’t be surprised if I suddenly just lose them one day- but if ever that happens, I know that this is the final song that I’ll sing to them before finally treading down a different path.
