RAE Farnborough Invicible locomotive location revisited. This video in the 'Train Bytes' series features the tank engine 'Invincible' which until 1968 used to haul wagons between the mainline goods yard at Farnborough and the Royal Aircraft Establishment. On the 3rd July 1967, four photos were taken of 'Invincible' during the street running part of its journey along Elm Grove Road until it crossed the busy Victoria Road in Farnborough. The location was revisited in the summer of 2023 and four new photos were taken at the same positions as the originals to see how much has changed.
'Invincible' was moved to the Isle of Wight in 1971 and has enjoyed a new life on the Isle of Wight Steam Railway;
